Ok, that's excellent news- I won't fret about it then, just poor luck. Thanks for the feed-back!
(and from where I am in life, I reply on my hobbies a lot to keep me going, so oftentimes in a 12 hour block sleep gets the short straw- plus I do play on Admiral's level, which likely helps a bit. The longest part of any of my games is designing a new ship's profile, but I've done it so often that that is frequently only 6-8 minutes)

Just to close off the question I raised, I have seen invasions trigger and fire now, for player and AI both- so its all good on that front.

I downloaded and enjoyed this mod, but is there a reason why western australia doesn't connect to SEA? Given Java and Timor are included in WA it is very odd seeming for ships travelling from Java to Borneo to travel via the bay of bengal. WA to SEA would seem more of a natural connection than WA-Indian Ocean (given the Indian ocean is more arabian sea). Seems like to get to WA from the box shown a ship should probably pass through either the bay of bengal box. or the east africa box. 2 months to cross the Java sea seems a bit slow, and handicaps the dutch something fierce.
EDit: looking again, SEA connects to WA, but not the other way around. guessing it might have been an oversight, and attempting to fix it on my copy.

I've fixed it on my end and will be uploading a corrected map file soon.

Please add a Black Sea region. I tried it myself, but I was not successful. Since I play with additional nations (Ottoman empire), it would be great to see Black Sea naval warfare between Ottomans and Russians (with possible other nations taking part). I tried to add this region, but there are too many values where I dont know what should be there, so in the end the region didnt even appeared on the map.

According to the designers, the Black Sea was not included for gameplay reasons rather than geographical ones.

I tried to add this region, but there are too many values where I dont know what should be there, so in the end the region didnt even appeared on the map. Here you go - a version of my map mod with a Black Sea region. Possessions (with owner in parentheses) in the Black Sea are Thrace (Neutral), Bulgaria (Neutral), Romania (Neutral), Ukraine (Russia), Crimea (Russia), Krasnodar Krai (Russia), Abkhazia (Russia), Georgia (Russia), and Northern Turkey (Optional). Krasnodar Krai and Northern Turkey are home areas, Thrace is a 10-point, Ukraine a 5-point, Bulgaria and Romania 4 each, Georgia a 3-point, Crimea a 2-point, and Abkhazia a 1-point possession. Georgia has oil to represent the Baku oil fields, though if that geopolitical inaccuracy bothers you feel free to remove it. I would recommend adding Thrace and Northern Turkey to the list of the Ottoman Empire's possessions in the nation file if you want to play as them, or as a nation confronting them, with this map file. I don't know how to make it so that control of the Dardanelles/Bosphorus or friendly relations with the power controlling them are necessary to allow ships to pass from the Mediterranean to the Black Sea or vice versa, so the Ottomans are out of luck and the Russians in luck there. As a warning, I have not tested any of this other than to make sure that it appears on the map and I don't get errors on game start. Attachments:MapModBlackSeaV1.zip (137.18 KB)

Some historical notes: - Krasnodar Krai is soviet name, better name this territory as Kuban. Main port there should be Novorossiisk, as Sochi was no more than village at 1900. (Even Novorossiisk should be small port (base capacity 10-20), as its development just started, but unfortunately "home possession" always have value of 400, and Kuban is best choise for it). -Crimea should have no less than 200-300 base capacity - IRL it supported whole Black sea fleet near solely. And I think it should cost at least same points as Ukraine, and maybe even more - I can't believe that Russian government of that time could give it to anybody before state collapse in revolution. - Abkhazia and Georgia may be combined into single Caucasian States posession - from view of that-time diplomacy there were no much difference between them. VP cost may be even smaller than Ukrainian - their independence/capture may be taken much easier, I think.

I have made some changes in line with your suggestions: - Crimea is now a 10-point possession with 300 base capacity. - Krasnodar Krai renamed Kuban, given size-1 base at Novorossiisk; base at Sochi reduced to size-0. - Abkhazia and Georgia combined into Caucasian States possession, value 3. Also, Romania gained oil to reflect historical production at Ploesti. Attachments:MapModBlackSeaV2.zip (137.06 KB)

director , Since aeson has opened up the Black Sea, is it worth considering a slight change to the Byzantium mod?... No idea at the work involved, just tossing out the question.

Garrison, I'm not able to put in the work at this time. If you want to, feel free. Just thinking about redoing the battle files for a new map makes me itchy... I'll wait for RtW2.

For whatever it's worth, I did put battles in the map file for the Black Sea possessions. I don't know if they work, because I haven't tested the stuff in the Black Sea beyond ensuring that it didn't make the game throw errors on starting a new game, and I didn't do anything complicated or special for them, but they're there.
