Hi! First I would like to say that I am enjoying a lot this wargame, both, 1970´s and the Falklands 1980 expansion. Now to my question... Regarding the Doctrinal Naval SAM Engagement rules 9.3.1.4. I´m not cleare about what happens to the aircraft that was attacked by the 1 or 2 AN as it keeps advancing towards the target ship.
If I have to see the outcome of a SAM attack, shouldnt I at some point have to resolve that SAM attack at a closer range, for example 0 instead of 1 which was my initial SAM range attack? Or on the contrary... Can I make a as many SAM attacks as I have available at the maximum Range of the SAM system no matter the targets are closing in? Hope I was cleare enough, sorry for my english.

If I understand your question correctly the answer is this: The point of Rule 9.3.1.4 is to mimic the real-life differences between the way certain nations utilize their SAM systems. No matter which doctrine the nation uses however, all SAM systems still may fire at their full adjusted net Attack Number (AN) rate during the turn - it is just that you are allowed to resolve the attacks using 1 AN or 2 AN at a time until you either run out of targets or reach the maximum adjusted AN for the SAM system. You of course should still modify the maximum AN for the SAM system by all applicable rules before you conduct of all the 1 or 2 AN attack checks.
Quoting the relevant portion of the Rule directly:
"Ships will resolve SAM attacks by allocating either 1 or 2 AN of the potential AN of their SAM system in an attack, determine the result of that attack, and then allocate another 1 or 2 AN towards a second attack and then determine the results of that attack, repeating this until either the player wishes to cease firing or the SAM system’s maximum AN value has been used."
In the case of your example, you would allocate 1 or 2 AN (depending upon the specific SAM type), resolve that attack, then allocate another 1 or 2 AN, resolve that attack, etc, etc until you either choose to cease attacking or have reached the maximum AN allowed for the SAM system. That then completes the attacks for that SAM system, and you then move on to the next attack or part of the game turn as the normal normal rules/turn sequence.

Thank you William for the answer. It is clear now. Yes, Zun Tsu is a similar software like VASSAL. In fact I already have the vassal module. But I usually make my own Zun Tsu gameboxes whenever I find a boardgame that I like a lot, just to add as much "eye candy" graphic detail as possible. My intention with MNC is to play it with bigger and actual images of the aircrafts and ships involved in the Falklands War conflict. That is lots of counters! What you saw in the pictures is just a test, now comes the real work
And thanks again for this wanderfull boardgame. I see it will be played a lot more than my CAS rules (of course both are very very good games).
