Alex and Phoenix:
You gents need to document your actions in detail for the NWS Team because in my opinion, the results for at least Bismarck and Hood are not realistic. In real life, against a battleship that could do no more than five knots in a circle, Rodney and KGV never got anything near a kill shot. Results from dives on the wreck, show that she might have been sunk by her charges, not the torpedoes from British cruisers or British 15 inch and 16 inch guns. Just my opinion. My suggestion is to continue to keep playing, gathering the results and ensure that all parameters that are changed are documented for the team.
Again, my suggestion. The team may have other ideas. Here is a good website to refer to, to help make changes to the game. For discussions of the real event, remember the thread on the military history forum for that expressed purpose.
www.kbismarck.com/ Dennis,
I think you may have missed Randomizers point - the internal game code in SAI is hardwired for the WW1 era, and likely will not give proper results for most WW2 battles with only the minor external data changes that can be made by players. These results do not represent a bug, since the game by definition is not designed nor intended to handle the WW2 era.
Now feedback is fine, but I honestly do not see how feedback on WW2-era SAI scenarios will help with a game designed for a significantly different period.
Thanks!
I've eliminated the information in that post, go ahead and delete the post. I don't want bad information to get out.

Yes, it looks too difficult for German side. Here is my poor Bismarck. All turrets destroyed or damaged, fire, flooding and only 89 rounds left. I will try to tune scenario. I know this discussion is beyond the scope of this forum, but in considering the performance of the 'Bismarck', much is made of the fact that the ship did not immediately sink, but in warfare the object is to remove your enemies' ability to fight, in reality it is not necessary to kill, sink, or shoot down your opponent. Victory comes when your enemy cannot, or will not fight anymore, the 'Graf Spee' was defeated without being sunk. When encountering 'KGV' and 'Rodney', 'Bismarck' was put out of action very quickly and was unable to inflict significant damage on the British ships, she didn't sink immediately, but in military terms was defeated very early on in the battle. Whether 'Hood' and 'PoW' could have inflicted a similar defeat is unknown, as in naval battles the 'lucky shot', from either side, makes it difficult to assess. Hits on the bridge, directors, rudder etc., can completely overturn any design advantages a ship might have. Such a hit on 'Bismarck', early in the Denmark Strait battle, would have left her to be swamped by fire from the British ships and although not sinking easily, would have been put out of action and defeated. It would be very difficult to tune results, which are so dependent on chance.
