I continue to play S&I a lot. Never bought or even looked at RTW. Not interested in large campaigns and such. I just now noticed that RTW has its own version of S&I. I have always been a little bummed some of the improvements for the tactical battles never made it into the final S&I game.
After all that, my question is if I buy RTW, do It get a standalone version of S&I that has the improvements? Can you play historical tactical battles with RTW's S&I? Does it come with historical scenarios and ships so I can skip the RTW part and just fight the battles. Does it include WW1 and RJW?
Sorry, a lot of questions and thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. No sorry, there are no historical scenarios in RTW and no isolated scenario generator. All of the battles are generated from within the strategic layer of the game.

OK, good to know. I am guessing there is no plan at present to move the improvements from RTW battles to S&I standalone? Is there any plan to develop an updated version of S&I that parallels RTW2?

Not that has been mentioned, but I really really hope that they do! I would pay $$ for an updated SAI, but I would pay $$$ for an SAI 2 Grand Campaign!
