Get hype, it's March already!
Is the release still on schedule for March?

Supposedly...
I'd pay extra if they wouldn't rush it. Seriously. They want to take another three months? I'll pay double and send them the money now.
I'm old enough to remember Paradox games that you had to wait six months after release to play. I've had such a good experience with RtW that I really, really want the next one to be ready to sail when launched. As with most niche games, word-of-mouth has to sell it, and that word-of-mouth has to be better than, "It's okay."

The plan is to release RTW2 by the end of this month (March); having said that, if nearer that time we believe it is not yet ready for a release it will be held off until it is ready. We do not want to give players something that is rushed and incomplete, regardless of the release goal we have set for ourselves.

gurudennis - no, I'm over 60. If you think their games, um, 'lack something' on launch now then perhaps you weren't around for some of the EU2 patches. Or the launch of Victoria. Or the launch of HoI. Or... well, they got much more serious about testing, got away from publishers who wanted a release on a fixed date no matter what, and - believe it or not - the launch condition of their games is, in my opinion, now vastly improved. Of course 'your mileage may vary'. williammiller - very glad to hear it. My apologies for sounding so protective, but I meant it well - I do truly want this game to shine. Take all the time you want or need (and can afford LOL).

I plan to put up a new dev update within the next couple of days :-)

Love your work Definitely agree with the 'wait if you need more time' approach - like Director I'm old enough to remember when Paradox games released in a state where they were a mess (and gurudennis, you don't know what you missed out on The current games actually launch really well (for strategy games, let alone for Paradox games) and are very much playable, but customers have far, far higher expectations these days (sometimes sensibly, but often somewhat irrationally).

VERY excited to get my grubby meat hooks on this game, but I fully support any decisions made to postpone the game in the interests of quality. I've got your back either way this goes!

However, I prefere a decent game without any gamebreaking bugs. So take your time.

Well, take your time to make sure it comes out right. Wouldn't terribly mind if it came around March 30th, though.
