Hello; had the chance to play RTW recently while visiting a friend. Went from not knowing what on earth this strange little game was to an addict over the weekend.
Anyway, I just bought the game myself, and am waiting for a code to be sent. I know this can take "up to 24" hours, but am wondering how long people usually wait on average.
its 3am here local, but I'm outside Toronto, so its 8am in the UK, and 9 in Europe. Is the code sent manually? If so where is the store owner located; as, if its in the UK or Europe, my answer is prob "1 to 4 hours". If its in eastern north america, I'm probably looking at closer to "5 to 9 hours", and if in california, "9+ hours"
alternatively, is this done automatically with some program verifying your payment that simply has a 24 hour window to verify it; if so that'd imply "20 hours from now"
anyway, as a new addict I cant wait to get back into things with my own version. I'm not sure if my friend owned the beta or not; is there any way I can tell from within the game when I fire mine up?
lastly, I've downloaded the file 2 times, and put one on my SSD and one on my main HDD. I'd like to actually fire up the game in two folders, one with the beta and one without. In the event my HDD crashes this means I'd be using my code 4 times; is this hunky dory?

It was less than hour for me. I would suggest using last beta 1.34b, it is best version and is widely used.

wew!!! okay, so when I first downloaded it, I opened the installer thinking I can put the code in later. nope, need the code to install. alright, I can wait. so I got the e-mail, and I copied the code to a text file, but when I opened the installer, somehow, the code was automatically filled in for me!
I had the code in my clipboard from a copy/paste but had not yet put it in. I dunno if windows 10 did it for me, or if the program did it somehow; but, I'm impressed!
edit - after testing with the beta patch, it was having the code in copy/paste clipboard that did it

Yes, if you copy the serial number (into the windows clipboard) the installer will read it from the clipboard and fill it in for you...this helps to avoid issues with mistyping those things in...something that has irked me in the past :-)
