I don't think that is odd, I do the same thing. My Fire Stick is on my TV in my room and I listen to Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music. I listen to a lot of the classical period, and romantic period. I love lute music, very monophonic and simple. Yea for us. I download videos from youtube. Here is one of my favorites - www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgtRqwfJGbIMy favourite baroque composer is by far Bach. The Brandenburg Concerto is especially good. I will also listen to the classics - Mozart and Beethoven - but I prefer Bach's style. I love Bach also, but I also like Handel especially the Water Music and the Royal Fire Works. I like Arcangelo Corelli, Henry Purcell, Monteverdi, Scarlatti, Rameau, Pachelbel and Tomaso Albinoni. My uncle is a concert cellist and a Doctor of Music and I used to go to his concerts and listen to his practicing. It was wonderful. I listen to Symphony Hall on Sirius XM all day.

Handel is another that I can listen to for an age. His Judas Maccabaeus is one that I do like. I came to classical music because of exam revision. It's so much better than trying to listen to the meaningless noise on the radio. Both my uncle and brother play the trombone and I make an effort to go to all of their performances.

I enjoy live concerts. Once a year, we go to my granddaughter's recital. She is a superb piano player. I enjoy opera and I enjoy the light opera that I have seen. Desert Song is excellent. It's nice to know that there is someone else that really enjoys good classical music. I also enjoy 1940's Big Band music and some light jazz. I once played a concert with Paul Horn, a jazz alto sax player. It was a highlight for me. I enjoy surfing music like the Ventures.

Yes, good music. And here is one of my favorites. Oh, one of my favorites, Antonio Vivaldi. I love flute music. Great stuff. He wrote some great concerto's and sonata's. My favorite has to be the Four Seasons. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRxofEmo3HAFour seasons was my very first classical music... I was toddler, and my father often put this record at our huge turntable

If you like flute, I think one memorable from sci-fi is this.

For some reason I prefer listening to Antti Martikainen Music, for example to Hymn of high seas.

For some reason I prefer listening to Antti Martikainen Music, for example to Hymn of high seas. I've just been investigating this composer... It's good, very interesting. I like Hymn of the High Seas. Speaking of High Seas, here is the best - www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-EXNounv-Uwww.youtube.com/watch?v=dL29E-jrvMg - This is theme of the Fast Carriers www.youtube.com/watch?v=svkKW3D47Fc - This is Guadalcanal March The man who wrote this music was Richard Rodgers of Rodgers and Hammerstein. Both collaborated on many Broadway plays. BTW, I used to watch Victory At Sea when it was on TV..... But my dad would get up and leave. His comment was "I was there son, I don't need to watch it."

As odd as it is this song was taught as part of english classes in communist Hungary in the 1970s-80s. Probably because of the simple text and easy to learn tune.

I've always liked HMS Pinafore. I used to go to our light opera during its season when my uncle was a cellist in the orchestra. It was great.

Moving on to more serious music: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PNud7jQXsMThe first piece is the music of WW2 Italian submariners. The second is older. It was played until the 60s in Italian naval bases in the evening, when the crews had to return to their ships.
