Naval Ops Warship Gunner Wirbelwind theme. It is the single best boss theme I have heard in a long time, and given it plays when a battleship that dwarfs the Yamato that is capable of moving over 100 knots shows it certainly is appropriate. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldZg77Up86U

I'll be honest, it's not as period-appropriate as some of the other pieces listed here, but the last couple days had me listening to Touhou Eurobeat. The fast pace is really fitting in combat when you're messing around with French BCs that go over 30 kts in 1920. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJUQy6kdSUk

There's always Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants to Rule the .... Waves! For invasions, I can't resist humming Neil Young Cortez the Killer ("He came dancing across the water/with his galleons and guns..") Alestorm is kind of fun with stuff like 1741 The Battle of Cartagena or Back through TimeOh and strategically I can't resist MacDermott's War Song ("We don't want to fight but by jingo if we do/We've got the ships, we've got the men, and got the money too!") Unfortunately I could only find a parody version

I'm currently having Drachinifel videos on in the background, he's a naval historian that does some good work. I don't agree with everything he says but it has made a nice change from just music.
