It recognizes my paypal just fine, lets me log in with it including all the fun 2 factor security and then even gives me a price in my local currency which I have to pay. It's just that after confirming all that, it fails.
That is exactly what happened to me. Tried with two credit cards.
Im not in my coutry right now, so I will try once I get to the hotel, and if it fails again, on monday when Im home (Argentina, Buenos Aires). Sad there was not an option with Credit Card alone.

Same problem here from Hungary. I have no PayPal account and I got this massege when I tried to buy the game with a guest account:
"We couldn't process your payment. Please try again or contact us if you continue to experience issues."
Also I would prefer to use my credit card not some other 3rd party paying method. So much redundant option nowdays.

I'd actually prefer to use paypal, and I'm pretty sure I used my paypal to buy from the old store. It's certainly 100% the case if it supported paypal at all, but I can't rememeber because it was such a long time ago I bought RTW.

thank you. questions like this help narrow down what is causing the issues. I'm trying to help as I know william and christopher have their hands full right now. If others with paypal issues could answer these, it may help will and chris pinpoint the commonality that's causing the issue. Czech Republic, Android Chrome, PayPal linked to a credit card. Based on the information from my bank, the payment order comes through, but is immediately followed by recall order issued by the seller (I assume PayPal). SOLVED (sort of) I have managed to conclude the purchase by topping up my PayPal ballance. The issue seems to be directly linked to the credit card / debit card part of the payment. |

Mr. Dean just reset some of the nation restrictions on the store, for some odd reason it was blocking nations it should not be, so you may wish to try again. Our apologies for this issue...if you still cannot purchase the game please email Mr. Dean and he will get to your email as quickly as possible in the current initial release frenzy :-)

This needs a standard visa + mastercard option.
Not going to involve a third party without easy recourse (such as paypal), with that track record.
Really disappointed to get told that I can not buy the game as usual a day after the (re)scheduled release...
Also does not fit with the "we use DRM to protect our product", while only allowing a sketchy third party to handle our money and personal data.

I had same problem. So I investigated the cause of this problem.
I'm living in Japan and using Chrome. I tried to pay with my visa-debit-card via paypal, but it was failed.
First, I used VPN service and connected from US. But Purchase was failed too....
Next, I changed the billing address from my real address to the White House's address( 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
, Washington, D.C.) .
Then the purchase was succeeded.
So I think, the cause of this problem is the difference of the address format between US and Other Countries, not the networking problem or Credit-card problem.
