Hi all,
So I built a floatplane carrier (AV class) with a capacity of 12 aircraft. However, I cannot locate the ship's airgroup in my list of squadrons. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Help?
Also, does a regular warship need to have the "hangar" box checked to equip floatplanes? Where are my floatplane scouts on the ships that I've constructed to have 1-2 floatplanes? I can't locate them in my airgroups either.

Tenders won't show up as their floatplanes are assigned automatically. You do not need the hanger on a ship, but it improves their readiness.

AV gets your latest Float Planes aboard automatically as soon as it enters service. If your AV has 12 plane capacity, in your game it already carries those 12 planes even if you don't see them in the squadron list. You don't need the hangar box to be checked to put planes on warships, but not having an hangar increases the chances of the plane readiness being low (IE your plane begins the scenario "damaged") if you don't add one to the ship which means you can't launch it immediately but rather have to wait until it becomes "fixed" before you can use it. Up to you to decide wether the displacement investment for an hangar is worth it or not for a given class of warship . With warships floatplanes are given the same way you get them with AVs - you don't have to manually add them, they automatically get on board when the ship is completed.
