That is one heck of a cruiser, BB layout, and displacement. Kinda like an AC version of Olympia I think she's 10,000 tons all told? Big girl

It's been a little while, so here's a new one - the Rhineland from tortugapower as designed bt not as built

That's pretty darn cool that your planes are good enough that I can identify both models above. Bravo.

I've seen it mentioned a couple of times, but I do shipbucket style work and I thought i'd create a thread for some of the RTW inspired ones! First up is a 1905 japanese pre-dread with 4 x 13", 10 x 8" and 20 x 3" guns. <pic snipped for brevity> I am sorry, but the Shipbucket folks have informed me that their work is not allowed in commercial or 'for pay' releases, so I am going to ask you to remove all references requesting commissions or for-pay work related to their graphics. Thanks for understanding why we cannot allow this, it places us at liability if we allow it.
Thanks.

williammiller is it permissible for hmssophia to continue posting her other content here? I don't know about these laws/rights whatsoever, but I naively hope that the amazing works she's done for me can be posted here (should she wish to share it).

For the record, Shipbucket's bosses don't mind if you post your stuff here, so long as it has proper crediting (and that's mainly because us Shipbucketers have seen a lot of cases where some jerk on deviantArt or NationStates goes and takes an uncredited ship, slaps a horrible paint job/parts bin kitbash on it, and proclaims it to be their own original work). Accepting money for Shipbucket stuff is the only no-no here; I actually ran into that once myself and, to avoid getting a spanking by the admins, had to find a way to refund the money (though they didn't complain about the guy trading me a free 3D model of one of my RPG characters for the drawing instead).
Also, the problem with the Shipbucket forums is a known bug that... well, every time they've fixed it, the forums have gotten invaded by spambots (and then it breaks again on its own). Best workaround for that is to join the official Shipbucket Discord (listed on the main site) and talk to one of the mods there; they should be able to set you up.
And for anyone who wants to get into Shipbucket-style drawing, let me give you one very, very important word of advice (from someone who completely didn't follow this advice when he started out!): As tempting as it may be to start with a battleship or a carrier, for the love of David Taylor, don't! Start with something small; it's a lot easier to get it done and fully detailed, and a lot less discouraging. For that matter, if you value your sanity, don't try a carrier unless you're a masochist (says the guy whose first three ships were carriers). I actually have a standard description of what drawing a carrier is like...
(With apologies to Stuart Slade for lifting from his essay on how real ships are designed over at NavWeaps!)

Certainly, anyone can post creations here they make using any parts of ship-bucket parts, share them with others, even create them for others (minus any pay request),etc. That's perfectly fine.

Ship bucket used to be one of my faves when I was trying to mod War in the Pacific. Lots of good ideas for new ship designs!
