This is the same game I keep posting my bugs from. I unfortunately didn't think of it as a bug at the time, since I was rather distraught, but I am now under the impression that it was one. Without further Ado, 1900 start Germany Historical Budget, Ai Advantage, Very Large Fleets Roughly 1932. I was Rather happy with the performance of several ships over three long wars with france. Since Museum ships are a sketchy chance thing in this game, I took the simple route, and mothballed the ships, pretending that they were turned into Museums. V24 and at least one other fantastic "Museum" ship were happily sitting mothballed, presumably docked on some port town in the north of Germany, when they got sunk after striking an enemy mine. Yes, my parked and mothballed ships struck mines laid by the enemy, roughly a month or two after the start of my war. (The enemy in this case was Russia.) I presume it's unintentional that mothballed ships can apparently hit mines, while they lay rusting away in port. For anyone interested, this is the great little destroyer V24. She and her Sister V5 of the illustrious DesDiv2 scored the first positive torpedo hits of this file, sinking two russian battleships after a series of inconclusive battles that had left me rather worse for wear than the french. In the later wars, V24 and her other sister V29 picked up so many french survivors that I presume all of the writing on the ships (Signs and markings) were written in french as well so those sailors had an easier time. V5 and V29 are also "Museum" ships, and I would appreciate if this bug were solved so they do not run into any sneaky russian mines while anchored as a tourist attraction.

Could've been a drifting mine, instead of one anchored to the bottom. Gorgeous ships, though!

It's happened again! The dastardly french have hit a mothballed ship with a Mine! It was my favorite destroyer V5! She's not sunk, but she will require four months of repairs. This is unforgivable!

They've not stopped at Mines! (this time the enemy is Japan) Japanese submarines have traveled more than 13000 miles (Assuming they used the Suez) to attack a mothballed ship in the port of Hamburg. Edit: After playing a few more months, another Japanese submarine sank one of my new Carriers in the north sea. Normally I don't reload saves, but this is a little ridiculous.

Once more I am left Baffled by the audacity of the Japanese. They have somehow not only traveled more than 14,000 miles, but the pre-battle said that they had 2 CA and 10DD that wished to engage in combat just north of Danzig. I thought it was just the game making a little glitch in battle planning, as there was no way the japanese took the time to send ships through all the sea zones to get there. Imagine my surprise I accepted the battle because hey, free victory points, and lo and behold, they had actually brought ships. Through the night I had Intermittent radar contact with at least 7 ships, and finally when dawn broke, I identified the two advertised heavy cruisers along with 5 destroyers. (If you must know, my powerful battleships tore apart the heavy cruisers, and as the weather cleared, the destroyers endured more than 7 hours of constant air attack from two airbases and 3 carriers.) I'm 90% certain this is not WAD for Japan to send sneaky forces past my forces in SEA, The Indian Ocean, West Africa(Or the Med), then past my entire main battlefleet in the north sea, to make it safely through the skagerrak to the baltic, where they just decided to engage my forces, presumably from Neutral russian bases in Finland, I suppose.

So the Japanese Really seem to like the whole "ATTACK THE BALTIC" tactic. This is getting a little ridiculous.

I think I just ran into the same issue - a (90% sure that it's) mothballed ship got torpedoed in the part of the turn sequence where torpedo attacks happen.
I've got an ancient class of CL that I keep around in case I need tonnage in low-risk zones (playing as the UK). I've got about 6-8 in N Europe right now - (I think) they're all mothballed because they can't survive in actual combat in N Europe. Got a message "Leander" was torpedoed - when I looked in Ships in Service it's in N Europe. It's possible that I wasn't paying attention and it wasn't mothballed, but I don't think that's the case - I suspect mothballed ships are not excluded from the "potential torpedo targets" list. Not sure if this is WAD or not.
