I am not sure if this is bug, but it is quite strange using AP bombs attacking airbase. I would expect GP bombs or maybe SAP, but not AP on ground at all.
1920 start UK, year 1953, AP bombs invented.
Note: after enemy destroyed my airbase I can see no aircrafts however airbase is not influenced at all.
Suggestion: May be it could be good to decrease airbase by one level if it is destroyed in battle to have some effect. Otherwise it is usually not worth to attack airbase as carriers are primary target and after several waves aicrats numbers are decreased rapidly having less sence to attack airbases.

did you remember to change the strike loadout to ground attack instead of naval attack ground attack option will load high explosive bombs and as far as i know are also more effective against destroyers

It could happen I misclick on one squadron without noticing it but certainly not for all hits from all squadrons on both airbases.

A turn is a month, and that is ample time to repair the airbase. Airbases were quite resistant to damage, see Henderson Field, and in game terms damage to them is best simulated in a scenario by them being supressed for the rest of the battle.

Is it intended for all squadrons at an airbase to be destroyed (giving VP in battle and requiring the player to rebuild them manually) when the airbase is 'destroyed', then?
