The AI will decline an invasion fight, and that will stop the invasion from taking place. I accept this battle:
The AI (Russia) actually has no ships in that area, or even in any of the surrounding areas. No where in the Pacific. They, therefore, decline the battle:
No invasion is triggered.
I've had 60 strategic points to zero sitting in NE Asia waiting for my invasion to trigger. Would this bug also cause a bug where the invasion cannot trigger?
I think that this event should result in an automatic invasion.
Thanks, ~Tortuga

I just had a similar problem in the other direction. I (UK) just went to war with the US. My ship was blown up in harbor, so I didn't have warning to deploy to North America East Coast. In first turn I moved a large force there, but an invasion triggered anyway (for Nova Scotia I think). I was hoping to get a large fleet action where the (inferior) US force defended the invasion fleet. The US declined the battle, however, and now the zone is red and the crossed swords are over the invaded territory.

Wait, does this happen in reverse? If I decline an enemy invasion battle does the invasion not happen?
