Hi,
Just an idea of a nice to have feature: I would like to have savegames synchronization between devices (like Steam, for example). Now, I know this is not something NWS can do (just yet). So I think I have an idea to have a good and cheap replacement:
- Be able to select the folder in your system where your savegames will be stored
That way, if you select a folder in your Dropbox / Google Drive / Amazon / NFS or whatever other shared resource path, if you do this in all of the two devices in which you can install the game, you will be able to have savegame synchronization that will be carried usually by Dropbox or whatever you have (without actually needing to copy the folders manually every time you save).
Even better (and optionally), instead of being able to define a "savegame folder" for the entirety of the saving game slots, it could be done per savegame slot. When deciding (at game creation) what slot you want to use, you can decide the folder in which everything will be stored. Optionally, there could be a button in the game options to change the folder where your current save game is stored.
The other thing you might need to add, potentially, is a "last RtW2 version" on each savegame file, so that you can't open a 1.03 version with a 1.02 client.
Just my two cents.
Cheers,

As far as cloud saving, you can do some magic with symlinking (https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16226/complete-guide-to-symbolic-links-symlinks-on-windows-or-linux/). I've not tried with RTW but have had some success with other games in the past.

While it is not a bad feature to have per se, I cant see why it would be at all difficult to just dig up the RTW save folder and toss it on google drive or something?

While it is not a bad feature to have per se, I cant see why it would be at all difficult to just dig up the RTW save folder and toss it on google drive or something? Because you have to do it yourself after each session. IF (big if) the development time for this is not big, it would be a nice to have feature. Not only to save you the (admittedly small) pain of having to synchronize it manually, but because you might forget one day to do it.
Thanks for the advice. Will take a look at symlinking. It might do the trick.
