Enjoying the new game immensely - have been able to figure out most issues/new features so far, but I can't work out how angled flight decks work - I have researched the tech, but on both old carrier rebuilds, and new carriers built from scratch, I cannot add more than 2 catapults - am I missing something obvious?

You should be able to add extra cats when you get that tech to original CV designs. Make sure you aren't trying to use an illegal cat placement. Some don't work. Play around with it. Here's an example of mine.

If you add all the legal options at once you can actually go past the limit of 4

Here's an example of mine. Ah, I was assuming that as those additional two were listed as 'swivel' mounts that they were not going to work like 1 & 2

Hmm - I think there might still be some sort of bug here? This dialogue box comes up when I hit 'Add' under Catapults, despite researching the tech

If it doesn't have angled deck, only 2 catapults are allowed and you can't retro-fit angled deck in the game.

rob06waves2018 Are you sure it has to be a design of a CV built after that tech was released? I thought in the past I could retrofit my older CV designs with angled deck's 4x Cats.

No, I'm not sure but it seems logical. Maybe it's just a bug that got caught in a patch without anyone recognising it. Either that, or it's a whole new bug.

This is a rebuild, but I cannot fit more than 2 to a new design either (and given historically angled flight decks were added in rebuilds, it'd be good if that were possible)

Are you on v1.04? If not, I'd suggest putting in a bug report. On the point of retrofitting angled deck's, yes it was done in real life but not very often and, generally did not give the same benefits as a purpose-built angled deck so I wouldn't be surprised if it's not modelled.

I'm also in the situation of not being able to build an angle deck CV, have had the tech unlocked ofr a while but no joy. Thought it was down to some other research box that hadn't been ticked yet but might have to look into it more.

Any more information on how to build an angled flight deck carrier? I don't see any options for it, and my designs are marked as illegal for having more than 2 catapults. I do have the relevant technology.

you might have to refit the carrier first - that's how some tech is added to previous ships

I can't figure out how to do it on new builds either.

Maybe there should be a tickbox for this? It's currently kind of difficult to know whether it's there or not. Historically, ships had them added in refits, but I imagine this is a heavy and expensive thing to add, so there ought to be a way of choosing whether or not to do so.
