Is it possible to see the list of improvements for new patch?
Hello Alex,
I posted the changes/fixes with in the patch download thread, but I for convenience sake I repeat them below:
SAI 1.60 (also included in campaigns):
Changes:
* Added more detailed ammo selection and reporting. Each hit is now logged for ammo type used.
* The force flagship will now not be detached to pick up survivors.
* If a force flag division is sunk in its entirety, another force flag division will be promoted after a delay.
* Made some of the nation flags look better.
* AMCs can now pick up survivors.
* Weather damage and fuel warnings will now only generate popups and pause if the break on serious message option is selected. They will always appear in the log.
* Tweaked targeting for secondary batteries so that heavier guns than 6 in should be more likely to target larger ships instead of destroyers.
* Some minor tweaks to AI tactics.
* Custom flags will now be loaded from the custom files directory.
* Any division can be set to patrol (including human controlled and force lead divisions) and will then automatically patrol around its current location until given other orders.
Bug Fixes:
* Sometimes game could go to normal speed unnecessarily - fixed now.
* Fixed a bug which made it possible to manually control divisions on admiral's mode.
* Fixed a bug that could result in access violations in some cases.
Campaign Expansion 1.40:
Changes:
* Campaign window is now resizable.
* Submarines will now not attack friendly merchants in error.
* Added blockship missions as mission type to campaigns (only used in RJW).
* Local time at the base of the selected division will now be shown when selecting the start time for a campaign scenario.
* There is now an OP cost for loading mines (to put some restraint on excessive mining).
* Added bonus VP for each surviving merchant at the end of campaign scenarios to compensate sides with many merchants for the added vulnerability. The AI will get full points, player will get half points on easy, quartered points on normal and 0 points on hard.
* ETA is now determined from the start point and not from the port.
* More variation in daytime sighting range, can now be upwards of 30000 yards if exceptionally clear weather, but there is also a risk of haze reducing visibility.
* Ships more than 100 nm from a friendly base at the end of the scenario will suffer increased wear and tear, the more the longer the distance. They will also run a risk of extra damage or operational mishaps depending on the distance. This is to discourage cheesy strategies evading enemy patrols by not returning home.
Bug fixes:
* Land batteries could occasionally get the wrong facing in saved campaigns. Fixed.
* Fixed Move Up for divisions in the campaign window.
* Fixed occasional "Cannot get bearing to self" error message.
* Fixed a submarine sunk date bug that could occasionally give sunk dates in the future for submarines.
* Fixed an error in the Baltic campaign that could cause a German AMC to spawn off Nigeria.
