I have reached a good point in creating a new campaign in the Mediterranean, fought between Triple Alliance (Austria-Hungary, Italy, Germany) and Franco-British Entente in 1914-1915.
I am quite sure about the Order of Battle (OOB) and the initial dispositions of the Triple Alliance, which are described in detail in the naval agreement signed by the three powers before WW1. The bulk of the Austro-Italian forces plus the BC Goeben would have reunited in the Italian bases of eastern Sicily (Messina and Augusta) with light forces in Sardinia (Cagliari and La Maddalena).
I have instead several doubts about OOB and initial disposition of the Entente naval forces. It is presumable that, in the case of a naval war against the full strength of the Triple Alliance, the pre dispositions of the Entente would have been different from those implemented at the beginning of WWI in August 1914. These latter only are documented by many sources.
I thank in advance anyone who can give me advice or suggestions in this regard. In particular: about the Franco-British forces that would presumably have been gathered in the bases of Bizerta, Toulon, Malta and Gibraltar.
Preliminary campaign play suggests that it would be relatively easy for the Triple Alliance to destroy isolated parts of the French fleet. As a result, the Entente would have to concentrate on a single main base, so as not to make the game too unbalanced.
