As it is possible to field similar numbers of submarines as Germany or the US had in WWII, it might as well be possible to suffer around the same number of submarine losses once enemy ASW becomes too good (or, the other way round, to sink similar numbers of enemy submarines per month). So, what are the highest number of losses/sinkings you observed so far? I never recall having lost or sunk more than 10-15 submarines regularly, but I may remember things wrongly.

I've seen 10-12 sub loses (from pool of 60-100), when some late ASW improvements were just invented and I had 3 times more TP ships then necessary. But after 1-2 months all things became regular again - and the result of Atlantic 1944-45 (enemy lost much more subs than sunk transports) was never achieved.

I always try to have a decent number of subs, though seldom more than 200, and the more subs you have the more you lose. I have lost 15-20/month frequently.
