Is there a way to change the impact of autoloaders? As it is I've looked through the .dat files in data and I haven't found anything that seemed like it would help.

They're in the data folder, I'm not sure if we can (or are allowed by the TOS to) open them Ah well in that case I'd better not. Just disappointed at how minimal autoloaders impact firerate when in real life they allowed vastly higher firerate than is possible with manual loading

There is nothing in the data files that govern autoloaders, it is in the exe file. The files mentioned above contain the map data.

You can edit the ROF and ACC boni for ships (and land installations) in the respective design files. There is even a separate ROF entry for secondary guns. Problems are: You would need to edit all ship files after each designa nd redesign, including those of the AI...

Would probably be easy to script it as the ship files are loaded on demand and such can be edited while the game is running

Just disappointed at how minimal autoloaders impact firerate when in real life they allowed vastly higher firerate than is possible with manual loading The thing is that the maximum gunnery-drill ROF is often not fully utilized in combat. Spotting fire, for instance, has its ROF dictated by time of flight for the shells rather than by any characteristic of the gun, which is why autoloaders get much less of an ROF bonus for spotting fire than for firing for effect.
