I just had a CL get into deep trouble in the opening battle of a war with Italy (I'm France). I had a large force of CA chasing me, and was also getting continuous air attacks, which caused me to dodge. My CL was doomed, but I fired (Admiral mode, so the AI actually fired it) a final salvo of torpedoes at the pursuing CAs. The torpedoes were tracking so they would probably give 1-2 hits in a minute or two when.... A salvo hit the CL and put it into sinking mode. The scenario instantly ended with the "France has no more ships" message and the torpedo combat was not resolved. If you look above the "a" in Italy you might be able to see a tiny black dot which is one of the torpedoes in my salvo. Note that this same behavior has been a little frustrating in the past because one loses the opportunity to rescue survivors of the last enemy ship. In this case however, if my torpedo shots had sunk one of the CA I might have pulled a victory from the jaws of defeat. What happened: Scenario ended when my last ship began sinking, even though torpedoes were in the water. What I expected to happen: Scenario continues a few more minutes until torpedoes run out.
