After Auto adding aircraft to a base/carrier and then changing the Role from fighter to torp bomber, I cannot reduce the number of aircraft in the squadron properly. It went from 20 to then 9 and it won't let me increase it.
Edit: Ok, it just happens all the time. There's no specific instance. I have to constantly delete squadrons and re add an air unit from scratch to change their numbers higher. It's a pita. I cannot easily change numbers of squadrons like I want. The squadron strength is constantly limiting me to be below full strength and only by deleting them and redoing it can I get it right. Please fix!!!
Oh, and the icing on the cake is when you do delete a squadron, the right hand pane switches to the reserve screen and you have to reclick a base to get back where you were. Please also stop the auto window pane switching to Reserves. Keep it on the carrier/base window when you delete a squadron.

There's an issue that's been around a while where the gap between the number of authorized a/c and the actual number counts against you in the base capacity when you try to max out the squadron size (in fact I think you might have been the first one to call this issue out). Example: size-20 base. Single squadron with 9 planes is authorized to have 14 (gap of 5). If you try to bump the authorized number directly to 20, it caps out at 15 (base capacity of 20 - gap of 5). If you first reduce the authorized size to 9 (so you have a gap of 0) then go to 20, it works correctly. Yeah it's a pita, but at least I can get the count set correctly. Is this what you're seeing, or has it gotten worse? PS - This was the 1.07 behavior; I think I waited until my last campaign finished (I was almost done) before moving to 1.08 and I haven't gotten to air yet in the new one, so I don't know what the 1.08 behavior is.

Hey, sloanjh Yeah it's a pita they need to fix ASAP. This is what I think... 1st of all, if a base can have 20 fighters, then I can have as few or as many squadrons with 4 planes as I want up to 20 total planes. If at anytime I want to alter a squadron's number to more than 4, I should be able to do so as long as I don't exceed 20. But that doesnt happen. When I adjust squadron numbers, sometimes it gives me an arbitrary number less than what the total allowable is. And I have to either reclick to adjust the numbers or delete that squadron and readd it at the proper strength. So it's bugged to hell and when needing to adjust strength numbers before a war is a MAJOR drag that takes too much time. It should be a relatively easy thing for the menu system to handle. If there's enough squadron capacity to add more to a squadron it should let me do it THE FIRST TIME... I shouldnt have to adjust numbers several times, then resort to deleting and readding squadrons to get correct numbers. That's like 3x the work. That's enough to sap your fun having to fight this wonky setup to make you quit playing till they patch it.
