When you click on a sunk ship, you should be able to pull up it's battle log to see how each ship sunk. Be nice to read it.

SAI's campaign mode doesn't go quite that far, but you can see every battle a ship was in and which enemy ships it engaged, along with whether it was sunk. There's also a map of all the sunk ships on either side.
But what I'd really like to see is a way to save and play back battle replays.
