There was a mod for RTW1 that changed the points each type of peace gave, though I believe that was done through the exe. Does anyone know how something similar could be done for RTW2, or at least the equivalent? Perhaps the values of territories could be decreased and their income per value buffed to remain the same. I have noticed some new deals with >10 points, but these seem pretty unpredictable and unlikely to proc, even after wiping the royal navy twice as AH the best I could get was 10. I'd love to have a mod that was more like a traditional strategy, being able to take large amounts of territory and for smaller nations to rise up dramatically, though in RTW2 the peace deals are quite lenient, especially compared to Versailles. Can this be changed in the data files?

I am not aware of any way to mod the economic value of colonial holdings per point of possession value or change the points received at the peace table outside of editing the executable. You can however mod the possession values themselves fairly easily by opening MapData with a text editor (e.g. NotePad, NotePad++) and changing the MapAreaXPossessionYValue lines, where X and Y are Arabic numerals for the specific sea zone and possession (for example, the Mediterranean sea zone is Map Area 1 and Malta is the second possession defined for the sea zone, so Malta is MapArea1Possession1). Note that modded data files may create difficulties when patching the game and poorly-modded data files may create errors in the game, so it's a good idea to keep a backup copy of the original data files if you choose to do any modding.
