Playing 1.10 non-historical as UK. I have demolished the French navy now blockading their Northern Europe. That blocakde persists. In addition an invasion fleet of 3 of BB 31,500 ton, 3 of B 19,000 ton and a 100 plane CV plus destroyers in the Caribeean. The map reports no French ships at all in this sea zone. The invasion of Antilles for a couple of turns is reporting an uncertain margin of superiority. ~200,000 tons major warships vs (almost*) no defenders and the enemy nation home region blockaded. * : The turn cycle this time reports a French CL raider sunk one merchant. A battle option came up estimating French 3 CA and 2 CL. Still appearing far less than my assembled fleet.

Antilles is in the carribean, if I recall correctly.. That's where you need to have superiority, so make sure you have a force there and the French do not. (Not ruling out a bug, but make sure you're looking at the correct seazone)

In the Carribean alone i have 3 BB, 3 B, 1 CV and small ships to their apparent none/few. This is in addition to my forces blockading the enemy in Northern Europe. I have a screenshot but trying to figure out how to post it again. (Been a while)

Back in 1.09 I invaded the entire asia (one by one possession) as Japan. It usually took several months per possesion for it to proceed, even with massive advantage. Not sure if it's a bug or WAD. To post a screenshot use the "Add attachment" buton on the top right of your post, then use "insert" button to put the image into the post.

Screenshot for the original post of this thread
Maybe if we were told a bit more of the rules for making an Invasion happen it wouldn't seem quite like a bug.
If it takes a few turns before it can even happen perhaps a message like "Invasion force enroute". Then once that has passed the current "uncertain margin" or "bad weather" messages

Thanks for the screen shot. It actually answers one of my conjectures: that perhaps the code takes airplanes into account when calculating strength ratios for invasion. From the screen shot, it looks like France doesn't have any aircraft either (unless there's a bug where airplane count doesn't appear if there are no ships), so it looks like this conjecture was wrong.
