hi
I am new on this game , I am surprised by one thing, during the war when there is an encounter the computer show our forces ei 1BB 2 cl etc.. when the fight start finaly I find a small part of these forces and sometimes I have engaged because I was in superiority and in finaly the enemy has more vessels the last I have 6 dd and german 4cl!! and not 8bb 4cl etc...
may be I don't understand the princip
can you help me
thanks in advance

The idea is to replicate the uncertainty that occurs in any naval encounter. What you think you are facing is often far different from what comes out of the mist with guns blazing.

Seas are vast and you'll never have enough ships to protect all the ports and convoys you need to. So in this sense, it's plausible that you'll get caught understrength and outnumbered despite a superiority in total ships in a particular sea zone. There can also exist a mismatch in class types which can play into you being outnumbered. Edit: Ack, jwsmith26 out-ninja'd me by 3 minutes.

ok I understand for enemy forces it is an estimation, but effectively for our vessels how to be sure that we can engage with maximum forces and not have a surprise to engage wiht some dd's and not our BB or Cl with some BB or cl in front of us
I think normaly we know exactly how many vessels we can engage and wich type
thanks for your reverts
