The AI does them good enough on the enemy side, I wouldn't mind trading some efficiency to let my own carriers do their own thing.
I'm a bit of a 'fast pace' gamer in the battles, and some of the things like ticking each of the air wings can take a while.

Click the checkmark box for Auto-Airstrikes that the devs are gonna add after they read this post.

It would be a nice option for those most interested in the strategic side of the game.

I'd appreciate it if it was added. ;D

It would be a nice option for those most interested in the strategic side of the game. I think an auto-resolve function would also serve such folks well.

Auto-resolve would be epic. There are tons of battles I try to ignore rather than actually play for one reason or another.

Auto-resolve would be great for avoiding having to send the time on unpromising minor engagements.
Possibly more complex to do would be auto-finish, when I want to complete a battle that has been mainly fought out and I'm just trying to make it go ultra fast so end the scenario.

Well hopefuly it will come along with the auto-resolve being used to have allies do functional battles during a war. Like several ally and sevaral enemy ships sunk/damaged vs the occasional: "oh yeah, they sunk a corvette to help"

It's a good idea to evaluate, so I have added it to our internal list.
Thanks!

May be having "light speed" using speed with maximum hardware available (or and switch of for time being grafical representation).

One way this could be rolled into the game "naturally" would be to create an event that shows up after the player commissions their first CV/CVL that reflects the inter-service rivalry that often surrounded naval aviation. So something like:
The Army Air Force has issued a statement that carrier-borne aircraft fall under their jurisdiction and that squadrons should be operated by their officers. Do you agree?
If the player agrees, then airstrikes would become automated and perhaps carrier aircraft would receive a discount on monthly maintenance. If they decline the system would remain as is, and perhaps the player gets a point of prestige for standing up for the Navy.
