Im not one to complain but i would like to show something that has been happening frighteningly often in my campaign. I keep getting battles like this: It seems that my main flag ship swapned RIGHT NEXT TO, as in less than 1000 yards from the Enemy BC's. My Carrier fleet is to the south and not too bad, but wtf happened to the guys on the Left/west? 1 carrier 1 battle ship and a few escorts (including some very confused Americans who haven't figured out if they are at war with me or my allies. see my other post.) They just randomly smashing into the french coast.... I honestly found the situation very funny, but it can be annoying when my main battle line is spawned next to some BC's and a bunch of DD's who then full them full of torps as soon as i unpause.

That’s what happens when you buy cheap compass from China.

Dizzy already reported this as a bug hereIt certainly seems to be 1.11 thing, on the other hand it turns out that my just completed America campaign Brooklyn class long range heavy cruisers are really tough, not only did the poor dears not sink after several brutal encounters with French and Russian warships but they even managed to inflict significant damage once or twice....that said it did get annoyingly immersion breaking for daylight encounters in an era of highly effective radar.

There's evidently a "hot fix" available for this now in 1.11.
...THE FOLLOWING ARE THE CHANGES/FIXES FOR THE 1.11 HOTFIX:
Fixed a bug with forces sometimes spawning too close. Fixed a couple of bugs with the no contact timeout value. Fixed a bug with own AI controlled radar spotted ships not displaying on the map as intended. Fixed a bug with own ships sometimes torpedoing own radar spotted ships. ...
There isn't a direct link that I could find so I downloaded the last link (for 1.11) and haven't had it reoccur.

Its still happening post hotfix Yep, you're right. Got into the game after posting that and, I kid you not, my scouting BC units spawned right in the middle of their scouting units and it was torpedo city. The spawning issue does not seem to be corrected. As someone else mentioned, this occured after a delay in beginning the game phase, so if the game seems to pause before the battle you just might start within ramming distance of the bad guys... (Also had the British trigger FIVE invasions, in two different sea zones, in the same month, without any significant numerical advantage... but that's a different subject).

This is probably the most frustrating thing right now. I had a carrier spawn waaaay west of Gibraltar... And, I am also encountering ships immediately with my scouting BCs and CL/CAs in general. It's quite annoying...

I'm encountering the whole of the Royal Navy's Grand Fleet on a convoy attack mission. Every Capital ship they own in Northern Europe is out escorting 1 convoy.
However thankfully my small fleet spawned quite a fair distance away.
But I'm finding it happening a lot. Massive Battleline fleets escorting a convoy. I find this weird as surely this would leave the coastal towns of Old Blighty up for some Naval bombardment.

I thought, "Jesus, do they have the entire royal family onboard one of these ships or something?". It was certainly over the top.

We have a 1.12 beta in testing right now which will hopefully get rid of these issues. It will be out soon.

Fortunately the British battleships weren't very good at getting themselves between their merchant ships and my attackers, so I was able to sink their convoy + 2 BBs at the cost of 1 BB and a load of destroyers.
