Lead ship damaged rudder wont detach

Lead ship of fleet has a damaged rudder. Overall damage is light. A true lucky hit.

I can't detach the ship from the squadron so the entire fleet is continuing to follow the circling rather then press the engagement.

Did you try transfering command to another squadron before detaching the ship?

Nope.

Squadron had like 3 BB in it and the front one had the rudder damage. It was still appropriate for the fleet to formate around the other 2 BB in the squadron.
