So...
yeah...
This is a >very< bugged battle.
To pick one the enemy CL Acona is spawning in a position ramming a CV. That CV being in my formations of BB, BC, CL and DDs.
Also...
The start of the battle loading has several messages reporting ships having more float points then their initial. this also I think has the ships reporting slowing for flooding (miscalculation)
As a frequent bug reporter one of my recent saves may also be accessible for comparison if that helps.
I had thought that the bad float points might sort itself out. The CL on a CV leads quickly to the CV sinking as in addition to the ram damage there is .... how to say.... muzzle to hull... shooting.
For big fleet battles I make a save in case things go wonky. Good practice it seems. Ive attached it here. (as will be seen on next post loading finds the ramming going to a BB instead. Zooming in on the collision message finds quite the gathering at one map point)

In terms of pressing on fortunately on the reload it was a BB that soaked the ram and gunfire got assigned into a BB.
For sanity's sake I made a fresh save a few timesteps in. It is attached in case its logs help you.

One wonders as the floatation beyond initial message keeps coming up why not just fix it then too.
