I (obviously) didn't know about squadrons being reduced when their bases are on reserve. Thanks for pointing that out.

Sorry, hawkeye . I didn't mean to imply a criticism of your earlier post.

Sorry, hawkeye . I didn't mean to imply a criticism of your earlier post. Oh, no worry, I didn't take it as such and I am sorry if my post came across as if I were annoyed or something.

Alright, some quick updates, I got rid of my airships, half my sub force, and really went aggressive with mothballing and reserve fleeting, and its now 1941...and I have a lot more ships to use and do stuff with. I never really considered just how much staying full active all the time was harming me. Kotori87's British series underlines how much more you can get if you employ these tactics.

I often just set my nationĀ“s GGP to 1 just to have a little bit of balance to the fact that the game is basicaly YOU vs ALL OF AI. Even if you have some AI nation as allies, its of very little use. Especially if it is not a European nation and yours is. Then they often do not even help you with blockade or countering the blockade. They just sometimes send you some ancient vessel to act as a bait. So when I have to basically hold my own against anyone, while everyone else has only to fight against me. I think that some form of at least a basic AI vs AI war should have been an essential part of the game a long time ago, and not just a mod that also doesnt work right now. If the AI has this advantage, I feel justified in balancing it.
