I'm trying to create new fictional nation now, and some questions about editor values appeared: - Does WeatherZone modifier work, and how? As far as I can see all map zones have this value set to 0.
- Breakout point for raider interception is set while creating battle, would it define raider/interceptor side for this point randomly or it depends of attacker/defender set for battle scenario? (some places I want to use are for one side only)
- If I want to add new possession to mapdata, should I create full set of battles for it to make it possible to change side? Am I right that 0 side for possession battles is the actual owner?
- Does Battle size value set maximum possible size or it would be such in any case?
- What ship type in MaxShipType is "higher", BC or B?
And question about %NationName% file: if I set for gun in the middle of list (7 in for example) to "9" (to simulate they wasn't produced by nation at all) would it work? And would this gun be researched after time? (as I can see, now all "9" guns are explored one by one, without jumps) Or it is better to make gun "-2"?

Another bunch of questions: Does program "understand" keywords if they are in the middle of title (for example, "Northern Convoy defence" instead of simple "Convoy defence")? Does MaxShipType CA include BC in late game? EDIT: Is it possible to create nation specific design if its first letter is already in use? And suggestion: may text not disappear, when you open value again to correct one letter in it? |

The first line looks like coordinates, while the second appears to be a directional facing in degrees from north. I can't say what the first part of the lines are indicating, but they might be referencing a ship or base placement.

It is not needed, the program takes it from the battle position. Breakout point for raider interception is set while creating battle, would it define raider/interceptor side for this point randomly or it depends of attacker/defender set for battle scenario? [/quote] Not sure I understand. There is only one breakout point for each set of nations, it has nothing to do wit the battles. Yes, but you are advised not to edit the map data file. It is better to use an existing possession for your custom nation. B Yes and yes. |

Unfortunately, there are no possessions which may work as Scandinavia So I try to create some battles for it by copying code from national WarInfo files. |

I created some missions with cruiser and DD raids at Russian coast, here is the example:  But when battle starts, my forces start in SP1, not SP0 as I think. However when sides changed, like here:  Everything works as expected. What am I doing wrong? |

Seem that it was mostly my misunderstanding, though manual is not completely clear in this part. I played Scandinavia (custom nation I'm trying to create) against Russia. When creating missions I saw, that colour of WaypointLL line changed when I switch attacking side. As this line seem used for attacker, I thought that startpoint SP0 is always used for custom nation, and SP1 for enemy (if Attacking side is 0, WP is red, if 1 it is blue). In test campaign I saw, however, that colour changing doesn't mean anything, so in missions I was attacker my ships started in place I think I set to defender.
And another unclear place (possible mistake): in manual it is written: "Destroyers: Not used", though from my experience if DD set to No, there are no DD in battle, if Yes, they are here.

Yes, my mistake about the destroyers. If you set to no, they will not take part, if yes they will take part if within reasonable distance of a friendly base.
