just got the DVD and had similar problems to installing. did the jig with Java and now it works. my questions are these:
-can you tell me how to quickly go from the SAS screen to my desktop with one or two keystrokes? in some games, ESCAPE does that and in others, it's ALT+TAB.
-does my DVD come with the most recent updates or should I go to the Update web page? I tried to discover what version I received but kept getting diverted to Java.
-do I need to have the DVD in the computer in order to play the game?

A: The quickest method to minimize the SAS game is to press "ALT + SPACE" and click 'minimize' from the menu that pops up. You can then just click on the SAS icon in the Windows Menu Bar at the bottom of your screen when you wish to maximize/play the game again.
Q: Does my DVD come with the most recent updates or should I go to the Update web page?
A: The version that ships on the CD-ROM is v1.00, so you will need to update the game (via the INFO & DOWNLOAD thread here) to get the latest version.
Q; Do I need to have the DVD in the computer in order to play the game?
A; No. None of our (NWS) games require the CD-ROM in the drive bay after the game is installed.

If you have a Microsoft natural keyboard or any keyboard with the Windows Key between the ctrl and alt keys, just press the Windows key + M and it will minimize. To reverse the process, press and hold the shift key, Windows Key and then press M, this will maximize the window. Here is the complete list, for the members.
