In reading Implacable Foes by Galacchio and Heinrichs, it's got a pretty good breakdown of the Kamikaze attacks at the time of the Okinawa operations. I'll find it when I get home for specifics but bottom line: most of the Essex class ships in the area got multi-month repair appointments, while the newly arrived British carriers largely shrugged off the attacks. Bombs carried by the kamikazes were ending up deep inside the US ships, and glancing off the British flight decks.
