Can someone explain to me how to change the flagship when you change the lead division.
In the last game I played Tondern Raid as the Germans my lead division took steady battering - one ship was sunk and two others had been detached and sent back to base. I think this left Kaiser as the flagship and only remain ship in the lead division.
When Kaiser took additional damage and was slowed the 8 knots I changed the leading division to the next down the line.
I had two problems with this - once the following division was made the lead division I was unable to change its leading division to nothing (I left it as following the division the Kaiser had been in but took it off AI control) - secondly as the Kaiser slowly slipped away my lead division was out of sight of the flagship and switched the AI control (who then abandoned the pursuit of the surprisingly retreating British battle line).
Basically is there a way to change the flagship to be in another division when you change the lead division?

You can only change a Force Lead Division (the lead ship of which is essentially the Force Flagship) once per game. Right click on the Force in the OOB tree to open the options dialog. Select Change Lead Division and a window will open advising that this can only be done once. Click OK and a window will open listing the allowable divisions. Select your division of choice and close the window.
Am pretty sure that had you detached Kaiser due to battle damage, the force lead would have switched automatically to the next suitable capital ship without further input from you but it's been a while since I had something similar happen.

Hi Sorry I've had this happen again - this time playing as the British on the Scarborough Scenario - once again my lead division was wittled down to one capital ship BB Centurion which was badly damaged - I detached this to send it for home but it remained the flag ship (there was a brief notice that a Destroyer was made the flag ship but this didn't seem to be reflected in the game) then I attempted to change the lead division to the 4th battle squadron BB Dreadnought which was sucessful until the BB Centurion steamed out of site and the 4th Battle Squadron reverts to AI control.
Is the issue that I'm detaching the flagship before changing the lead division? - its a little frustrating after sinking 3 of the big German ships to have the whole fleet follow a damaged ship home

OK, just tried to change the German lead division in the Scarborough scenario and think I see something wrong. Will contact SAI's designer with instructions to reproduce the problem. Thanks.
