I've collected and cropped some pictures for the RJW game, and here they are. The procedure if you are not familiar is to place the picture in the custom files subdirectory, then run DesignShip2, load the appropriate ship design file and attach the picture using the Picture name entry at the bottom. Do not forget to save and if it wants to overwrite, do so. If you are worried, copy the original to a safe location or rename, then save. This is the safe way to make changes. The picture name is the class name, as per instructions. I have and will test before uploading but if you find the old guy screwed up, tell me. BTW, is there a better way to insert the file and not have to show it?
First picture is the Admiral Kornilov.

I am using another method to upload the pictures, maybe better. I archived them as .rar files. Feedback is vital, does this work better?

I'm sure that this is an initiative that will be very welcome by the community. Have you considered zipping up multiple photos into larger downloads (*.rar as a compression program per your Torpedo-Gunboat pic should be fine)?
Regardless, thanks for your efforts and uploads.

I am very glad to do it, I am retired and have all the time. It also keeps me out of the way of the fleet commander or She-who-must-be-obeyed. I will zip together a bunch at a time, that's the best method. Thanks.

Here is the next group of four pictures. One of the issues is that ships were overhauled and upgraded at later times. Example is the USS Alabama which had cage masts installed at a later time. So, I had to find earlier pictures for that, and they are available. I am now using a zip file type instead of RAR file type. Another problem is trying to find pictures with more pixels to reduce the pixels to the proper size. It's better to start with an 800 x 400 or 600 size to reduce to 640 x 160. But, it isn't always possible. I will test some programs that will allow me to raise the pixels in the photo at a later date.

... Great! From my point of view it would be a nice SAI-feature in future version if we could use pictures like this in a small(er) format while giving orders and having the map in the background(e.g. as an alternative to or within the enlarged top down inset view. Currently such pics are necessarily combined with additional ship information and every possibility to give orders seems to be blocked at the same time).

I am now using Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of the ones I have completed. When that is done, I will then add the picture names to the spreadsheet. After that, I will attempt to go back and see if I can find improved pictures, as necessary. My goal now is to get photos out to all of you. Let's all understand that these photos were taken over 100 years ago, with possibly an old Kodak Brownie, not certain. Without the original to scan for myself, I am limited in what I can present. A multiple view drawing is better but how much more visual information do you really need to enjoy and do well with the game. That is not my call, it is the NWS teams.

Here is the 4th group of eleven pictures. Note: In the design folder, there are three entries for the USS Baltimore. One as she looked in 1888 the year she was commissioned, one for 1901 after modification and a third. The third is designated cruiser but no year. The Baltimore was converted somewhere around 1913 or thereabouts, into a minelayer with a different bridge structure. However, the SDF for that stipulates that it is a cruiser. So, I just used the 1901 picture that is provided. If anyone has different information or knows about this, enlighten the old man.

NOTE: There will be some ships that I initially cannot find pictures for, and they will be annotated N/A in my spreadsheet. However, that is not the end. I will go back after the initial run through, possibly going to the library with my hand scanner to see if I can find pictures for these ships. I will also provide a list of names in case any of you might have a picture or come across a picture. We can all contribute for the greater good and make the game more complete. This shouldn't be the job of the NWS team, they are busy enough.

Note:
The Fuso has two entries in the design folder, the graphics are the same so just use the one photo I've provided. I can't see any difference between the two entries.
I could not find a picture of the Galicia, a Spanish torpedo boat destroyer, just a picture of a cluster of them, bow on in the harbor which was not useful. I've provided a picture of the Furor which was a similar boat. It's a good picture and should provide a good representation of the Galicia. Artistic license, if you will.
BTW, by my count, you should have 120 photos. Only another 500 or so to go.
