Since the 18in gun thread gots talking 'bout super end day BBs i'll post my ResearchArea.dat mod
Adds:
1 more level of machinery research (1% weight reduction)
5 more levels of armour research (1% weight reduction)
2 more levels of hull research (1% weight reduction)
4 more levels of damage control improvement
7 more levels of ASW research
should free up good amount of tonnage for late game super dreads.
the added research levels has a " (Mod)" tag at the end to ID it.
the research names are ad-hoc and could be better as they're just 1% reductions anyway, but suggestions welcome -> i'm not a naval grog.
Mod finding:
1% reductions like armor/hull/machinery could have 19 research levels. 20 or more no longer saves weight.
i suppose it could also apply to AP/HE shell research for better pen/dmg, but haven't played with it.
Submarine research could have a few more levels as well, but i deleted it due to AI sub spamming w/ recent updates.
