No, it's not a Springsharp bug, it's an old guy bug. I've since changed it to 13 inches. Sorry
It is a good ship!
Holds its own against 9x18 N3 BBs. As long as it maintains distance and not get into close range duels.
That is great. I put together a second design for this ship today. I am also designed a third version with two four gun mounts on the fore deck. It changed nothing but it was fun.
Update: The object of this redesign was to improve its handling at sea. The North Sea and the Baltic are rough water areas with frequent storms and the boats need better handling.
1. I increased the freeboard which improved the handling. The design is now an excellent seaboat, which is good for the North Sea and the Baltic.
2. I increased the deck armor for survivability.
3. I increased the speed to 31 but maintained engine power within time period limits.
3. I increased the beam to provide more internal space and make the ship steadier.
4. I increased the range to 9500 miles
5. I've changed the armor scheme to box over machinery and magazines
6. Finally, I decreased the gun calibre to 16 inches which should provide for more ammunition and higher rate of fire. All this has to be balanced, rate of fire and penetration capability.
All these changes and some that aren't mentioned now make the boat more stable, better accommodations and workspace and at least one knot faster.
