Haha, my language would have been much more... colorful. That's bad luck. To be fair I think my language was a bit more colorful than that when it happened

A game as France. It does not go badly, and ends with a net gain, though with no real knock-down slug-out brawls. Interestingly, this game involves the most fascinating other-power territory losses of any I have seen. Japan loses South Korea to colonial disorder, and 15 years later reclaims it. England loses Ireland, and also by game's end recovers it. But also, Germany loses East Prussia, and Italy loses Sicily! So there's some Amazing open opportunities on the board! Believe it or not, I got 3 of them to pop up, 4 in total; East Prussia, Sicily, South Korea, and Albania. And guess what? Irregardless of local preponderance of force, each of the 4 times - the colony blows up to a local warlord, and the world gets pissed. But guess who gets Most pissed, each time? Italy. ...so, Italy gets their clock cleaned, in 4 wars straight! By the 4th war they had nothing to sink, I actually felt bad for them. ...and for me, for the gross lack of fleet actions. Oh well, I guess Italy sure showed France...

I became aware of a bug where a hole is in the terrain south of Cartagena in a bit of a V in the terrain. I noticed it when the enemy would do single ship coastal raids and have their ships just turn tail and run only for the battle to end and show them in the middle of Morocco. I kept this in mind and in a later battle sent my ships to that part of shore until the AC appeared. It cut around my ships and ran for the hole. I slipped through with my CLs in pursuit and we preceded to have a running battle through the Sahara while my DD screen made love to the North African coast. Another time I chased the Japanese into a little harbour on the Western coast of Korea, waited for night and sent me DDs in on suicide runs until dawn came when I sent my battlefleet in: As you can see my DDs suffered greatly.

im playing a game as Japan atm and so far I keep getting poor amount of ships on my side in battle, ie enemy 2-3 CL's and I'd get 1 2100ton CL plus 4 DD's instead of one of my CA's or BC's. Anyways This has been happening a lot to me and is causing my lots of loses however in one battle I had lost my CL to 2 enemy CL's in a cruiser action and all my DD's bar 1 had also been destoryed. The last DD's was running home while being chased by 2 enemy CL's, then out of no where one of the CL's goes up in an explosion. The DD's 4" guns had somehow caused a turret fire. I lost all forces but that 1 little moment maded me lol'd

Well, maybe when you run out of Cl's the game will start using your battlecruisers and you can get a little payback.

My latest game a rebellion broke out from June 1914 to April 1915 with Australia successfully declaring it's independence from Great Britain. Forward to December 1916, the Royal Navy commissions the 35,200 ton battlecruiser HMS Australia, namesake for a class of three ships. If I do my math right then she was laid down either in June 1914 or some few months before that depending on unforeseen delays but still, it seems pretty ungrateful for the Australians to rebel when they just had a huge battlecruiser named after their colony. Maybe they were insulted that she looks like a big glass cannon on paper. Twelve 16 inch guns in four non super-firing turrets and only 8.5 inches of belt armor according to the almanac. I was going to save His Majesty the embarrassment of having one of his ships named after a rebellious former colony by going into the save file and renaming her to Malaya but it's the namesake for her class so he might just have to deal with it. Well, I just sank HMS Australia in a fleet battle over a merchant convoy between Bermuda and the North Carolina coast so I guess the King won't have to deal with his ship being named after a rebellious former colony after all.

I'm curious, how far up did the tension bar shift up with the Ottomans? I know I'd be pretty perturbed if I paid all that money for a battleship and the other guy just said "thanks, we'll take it from here."

I was at zero tension with them and it jumped up by 2. It wasn't really worth it though. Before the war started we were all under treaties, 10" 16k ton. So the predread i got only had 11months remaining on it but was a piece of junk. I had a CA with 3 times the guns and could do 28knots compared to this things 19 and 4 guns lol.

Hmmm. Well as a B, it counts as more ship points towards establishing/breaking blockades and meeting the requirements to invade enemy territories than any CA despite the difference in actual capabilities so you might still find a use for it.

When I played Italy I had that with UK, i. e. the UK took a BB of mine. But what can you do as Italy against such behavour? ;-)
When I played GE I had that 2 x with Russia. Russia was building a BC at a German dock and it was my ally. I wanted to avoid a loss aof the ally and so I did not take it. Both times , it was the same BC.

This isn't bad shooting. Of course it was at roughly 4,000 yards but it was at night with a cloudy sky. Too bad it was wasted on a destroyer. Talk about overkill. The funny thing is, I don't know for sure that that sank her because I didn't see her go down. Could have theoretically just put sixteen new port holes in her if the shells didn't hit anything vital and passed through. Same battle. Apparently, my spotters aren't any better at math than fighterpilots...

Yikes, that would have been one 'bump' for that Grasshopper class DD! That's a lot of holes to not hit anything vital, but maybe they got lucky....

I don't think they did because the British lost seven of nine destroyers that day and the two survivors had only light damage but it happened off camera so anything is possible.
