It's clear to me that she survived the 12" hits and the single 5" hit afterward did her in LOL.

Same battle. Apparently, my spotters aren't any better at math than fighterpilots... Tangentially reminds me of my particular humourous curse in RtW: I've never built a BC Invincible that didn't explode. It must be at least 6 of the poor things now in various RN playthroughs that have bought it via detonations. It's gotten to the point where I now make a point of not letting any of my BCs be named it, such poor luck they've had.

Whenever I name one of my starting CAs Constitution, it will always sink at least one battleship, and never get more than medium damage from gunfire. Haven't lost one of them in 7 games, except to submarine spam. Most recent iteration got the BB kill via ramming, taking only minimal damage in return. One of them was also the ship with the most battle stars I've ever seen, with around 27.

Naming a warship Invincible is like describing a ship as unsinkable. You are just asking for Murphy or Karma to come down and prove you wrong. It's clear to me that she survived the 12" hits and the single 5" hit afterward did her in LOL. I think that is my favorite of all possible outcomes. Eight almost 900 lb shells don't do it but that last 50 lb shell broke the camel's back. Or Grasshopper's in this case.

ikahime - here you go. WTR Ship Names.docx (18.03 KB) joebob73 - glad you've enjoyed such success. For my part, I can't bear to use the name Constitution because it would mean the old frigate was gone and likely broken up (as almost happened to her several times in real life). I do have a penchant for naming classes after the same letter, so Republic, Reprisal and Ranger make one group and Intrepid, Independence and Insurgente make another. bcoopactual - The British from WW1 on did have a penchant for unlikely warship names. I don't know if you are old enough to remember the old TV series 'Kung Fu' with David Carradine, but his nickname was Grasshopper.

Of course, we remember David Carradine in "Kung Fu". Do you remember The Lone Ranger, Walt Disney Presents.

director , Constitution was briefly renamed Old Constitution to free up her name for a Lexington. It was even during the timeline of RTW. No need to despair!

oldpop2000 - Ah, yes. I remember a lot of old classic TV shows. The Johnny Depp version of Tonto-wears-a-bird has put that franchise away for years. ddg - of course you know what happens when you rename a ship. I could wish all six of the battlecruisers had been finished as carriers; I'm certainly grateful they were never in service as battlecruisers.

My first ever fleet-on-fleet engagement. If you're interested, it was 1 BB + 3-4 B + a squadron of DD on each side. Suicide run of torpedo boats made me victorious. My surviving DDs were going away from battle to stay alive, so did enemie's. My BB and Bs were following right after them. OH NO - I said, seeing an upcoming Russian port - They will hide there! imgur.com/a/tlZBFimgur.com/a/0Q9KiNope Also, how could DD ( imgur.com/a/YN7gp ) do this: imgur.com/a/riXjk

Standing room only of course. Or a lot of this. Seriously though, I'm pretty sure that is an overall total number of sailors picked up even though the way it is worded implies individual totals from each ship.

If you did manage to put that many sailors on the ship, you would have invented a new kind of squishy armor.

-Hey, what's that? -I think germans can't pick their sailors up, so they have sent us coordinats. -Is it a trap? imgur.com/a/gR4iaAnd... Is it a bug or you really can pick up people from alive ship? imgur.com/a/FClyr
