I don't play World of Warships but from watching the Mighty Jingles' videos on YouTube isn't there a term for this? Hahaha.

That's "Kill Stealing" by Vicksburg if I've ever seen it.

Classic Natty Bumppo follow-on - Gettysburg makes a hole, Vicksburg shoots through that hole (from farther away) to hit the magazine. Pure marksmanship.
Alternatively, it’s an automatic kill shot even if it’s the first shell to hit Indefatigable - saved the rest of the battle line a lot of effort. More of a “here’s how it’s done” than “thanks for doing all the hard work.” Had it been a BE waterline hit that pushed Indefatigable just over the flotation/sinking threshold, t’would be another story...

Might have been breaking out the belaying pins and cutlasses as well before the fight abruptly ended. Java is going to need a new coat of paint. And a new supply of trousers for the crew as well I imagine, LOL.

Akashi with the 19th century action Constitution v. HMS Java (which Java actually lost)?

Hi there, it may be a dumb question, but where can I find those "hit logs" which bcoopactual posted here? If the ship survived the scenario (friendly or enemy) you can click on the ship's division flag, click on an individual ship and bring up ship details. That also works if the ship is listed as "sinking" meaning it's still on the screen. If the ship has already sunk by the end of the scenario that won't work. What I do then is go into the Autosave.sac file with a word editor like Notepad++. Do a cntl+F to bring up the search window and type in "sunkships". All of the ships sunk during the battle will be listed sequentially so just scroll down till you find the one you are looking for. You can refine that search further by then typing in a specific search for an individual ship by typing in "name=Niobe" or whatever the ship's name was. If you just type the ship's name without the "name=" then you'll run into every entry where that ship hit another one. If the ship wasn't sunk you can also go directly to it by typing in "name=Niobe", it may take one or two hits to get to the entry where you can scroll down to see the HitCount. Once you find the ship in question, scroll down for a bit and you will see the HitCount and that is the same information you see in the Ship Log inside the scenario. This works for all ships. If it wasn't sunk it won't be listed with the sunk ships obviously, it will just have to be searched for individually. [Edit - the picture I posted above of the kill steal by Vicksburg is the hit count data only from autosaved.sac copied to a word file to clean it up and make it easier to find from ship to ship. ]

If you haven't yet closed out of the Scenario Results menu at the end of the battle, you can also get to the ships' logs by clicking Details, double-clicking on a ship's entry, and clicking the Logs button in the menu that pops up. You can get the logs of any ship present for the engagement this way - yours, your opponent's, those that survived, those that sunk, those that were never visible because they were in the Support Force doing who knows what, etc. Once you close the Scenario Results menu, though, you can't get back in and you'll need to use one of the methods that bcoopactual posted.

I had no idea that worked, I always just thought the detail page was a spreadsheet, not clickable. Thanks for sharing.

Well, I don´t know this is funny or not, but in my current game with Italy I have built my "new future 8" gun museum" near the habour of Messina where it protects the Straight of Messina, and has hardly enough range to shot out of the harbours minefield. Well spend budget in my opinion And in the same game I had a French pre-dreadnought opponent, after opening the design I got the giggles- armed with 2x1 9" mainguns, 12x 7" secondaries and 20x 6" tertiaries, armoured with 9" belt and 20 knots of speed. Chapeau France, well done- you kill your enemies by conniption.

Sometimes I feel that aiming posts at enemy warships are occupied with snipers. 4 only hits in 22 minutes - all in turrets!!! Fortunately, both Russians got enough damage to withdraw in same time...
