Then, we come to the person who has to be our most prolific experimenter, skwabie. In his thread are innumerable (nearly) tales of his adventures, driven by his modder's desire to make the game do what he wants it to do. Regardless of whether one plays with his mods, his stories have sparked almost 9000 page-views; nws-online.proboards.com/thread/972/skwabies-modded-gameplays

That, my friends, completes the roll for the moment. There are 3 AARS currently active which I fully expect to conclude with a proper ending and once they do they will no-doubt warrant adding. Well two of them anyway. I encourage anyone to add to this list, whether what you find is in the past or the future! (and look at that, 500th post. how beautiful. I get a smoking jacket now and Steve Martin walks out, right?...)

nws-online.proboards.com/thread/1131/showcase-british-north-campaign-forum?page=1cv10 brings us a treat from a not-specifically RTW perspective, and presents a very engaging Anglo-German North Sea campaign using the same "engine;" to wit- "About a year ago, Randomizer and Fredrik W posted a link to an AAR done on the SAI Campaign Expansion being done on the Grogheads forum. I read the AAR and it inspired me to buy the campaign expansion, and I have been enjoying it since. The game models the North Sea Campaign really well, and playing it gave me a much greater appreciation for Jellicoe’s handling of the Grand Fleet, as I worried, much like he did in RL, about mines, submarines, and torpedo boats ambushing the fleet. Churchill hit the issue right on the head when he said, Jellicoe was the only man who could lose the war in an afternoon. Having had so much fun playing this game, which helped inspire our own RTW, I have decided to embark on a showcase AAR of the North Sea Campaign playing as the British. I am posting this in the RTW forum for several reasons. First and foremost, my intention is to give this game a bit of publicity within the RTW forum community, it has been out for a while now but is still an excellent game. Two, I think this game does a great job of allowing the player control over the tactical organization of the fleet, and would like to have a similar system in RTW 2, and building off of this, I think the system is not too micromanagement-intensive, and I would like to demonstrate this point." (my apologies for letting this slip for a few days, I was asleep at the wheel... >.> )

Out of curiosity, what image hosting sites do people use now that Photobucket has effectively bit the dust from a reasonable use perspective?

I'm currently using imgur. The interface is not too hard to understand, and it seems to be less clunky than photobucket became these last few years.

Thanks, I had a lot of fun writing that one, those photos will never be recovered though. I've removed the blank spaces where they were. The very same career game that produced that AAR also produced my thread here: nws-online.proboards.com/thread/1272/creating-historical-navyIt's not an AAR thread, although there are several war stories to go along with the ship designs.

We have several AARs on the stove, some of which seem to be almost but not quite finished. If someone thinks their AAR is wrapped up and meets the thread qualifications (it has a beginning, middle, & end!), feel free to attach the link yourself or else direct me to do so.
