Sorry for pestering you again about this topic
I've checked my files.
Well, the problem is that
there is no coherence between damage points and victory points.
I think you should control this issue.
according to pc, at the end of the scenario, I've got an advantage of 75.00.000 VP
(a major victory)
+37.500 for russians
-37.500 for germans
sum is +75.000 for russian navy, and it goes to sum to my former advantage of 78.000, to have 153.000 points more than germans
and that's OK!!
It could sound quite reasonable for me, no problems
A major victory, it sounds ok
BUT - checking damage points - the difference is just about one quarter!
I.e. when I go to control damage points, ship by ship, the difference is very slight
I mean: My excel file - saved at the end of the battle (if I click on "details" after the end of the scen, copying to clipboard) - tells me that I've got only a slight advantage, as far as damage points, of about 9.000 points
+9.000 for russians
-9.000 for germans
sum is only + 18.000
the problem is not if I've won or not, but the coherence between victory points and damage points
Picking survivors or to accomplish or not objectives, or to have transport at sea, can't be the reason for such a great difference
Could be a random multiplyer factor??
Beside this, I've tried different endings of my battle
in all cases, difference beetween damage points and scenario results is slighter, but every time present. Could you explain how damage points are used to get victory points?
game is funny and interesting, I repeat
But Vp seem to me to have an incredible variability
I think it could account for the upsetting variability in perception of technical (objective, so to speak) results of a battle from the point of view of public opinion, or newspapers (Jutland teaches us), or superiors
(this time I have been lucky, and 5 pre-dreadnought to the bottom of baltic sea could have utterly pleased our beloved czar.
But next time, wind can change!)
Or it's a bug?
thanks in advance
