Sailors of Soviet Navy say: "If commissar Kainov appeared at ship, this means three things. First - it will be epic battle soon. Second - this ship will probably return to base after it. Third - some of her crewmen certainly not". Anyway, Kainov is nothing more than bright member of great Collective of Soviet people! Though his deeds are most well-known at foreign press and forums, other sailors of Revolutionary State show the same examples of Heroism, Valor and Faithfulness. Some of their ships are here. DD Chestni (Honest) became flagship of 2 Destroyer Division, which stayed in Riga Gulf after Kainov reuturned to BC Squadron. She took main part in two great battles with newest German destroyers. Both ended with score 7:0, after them German Hochseeflotte stayed with only 5 600-toners at all! Now she still patrols Eastern Baltic, fighting with subs, despite new threat - German aircrafts and airships bomb our ships there nearly every clear day. At the far side of the world, Soviet Pacific Fleet is at war too. After famous Battle in Okhotsk Sea, flagship there is CA Komintern, one of two old french-built "second-class fast battleships". She and her sister Profintern destroyed all German ships in Southeast Asia, eliminated numerous convoys, covered three unsuccessful attempts to land at Northern Marianas and finally managed to liberate Caroline Islands! Not all ships see battles, but their work is essential too. Four antique scouts of "jewellery" class don't see any naval action this war, but without their help our army would never liberate landы, conquered by German Empire. And now Kiaochau Bay is returned to it's legal owners - Chinese workers and peasants! (And they allowed our fleet to stay there as long as we need - in gratitude , of course) War, after four years of endless battles, comes to an end: German soldiers and sailors finally understood, that Kaiser fooled them, now they refuse to fight with their Soviet brothers and mutinies spread like fire. Red Army after Three Great Lenin's Breakthroughs besieges Berlin and Red Banner Baltic Fleet keep blockade - to speed up their folk's thinking!

Kaizer didn't survive long: at 7th November 1919 Great Revolution won! Again! Finally common folks of German Democratic Republic may return to their peaceful duties... Of course, after punishing all warmongers and imperialists! They gift Soviet Union one of the mightiest ships of their old Navy - battleship Hildebrand, now renamed Rot Front. Her unique characteristics should help Red Navy to defend peace and prosperity of Communistic states all over the world. And defence pact, signed between two most advanced Socialistic Republics made all capitalists grind their teeth in powerless rage! Rot Front, moving to Kronshtadt After war, Soviet fleet changed a lot. Old veterans of three wars were scrapped, as now we have enough new ships to defend our Motherland and minor brothers (German people decided to free enslaved African countries after Soviet request). And Red Banner Pacific fleet got new flagship - battlecruiser Barrikada, former USS Saratoga. Her cage-masts strongly impressed all tribesmen from Bismark Archipelago to Chukotka.
Barrikada in the Pacific And commissar Kainov finally got the gift from workers and peasants of Soviet Union - the most powerful battlecruiser in the world, named after himself! Commissar at speed trials He was also promoted to Commissar-Flagman and got command over Battlecruiser Reckon Group - as France forgot their glorious revolutionary traditions and gone wrong way, occupying Rhodes and making provocations at German border. In revanchist rage, they can't understand, that after Victory of Communism, it will not matter, who owns Alsace and Lorraine!

Narrow-minded, bourgeois French government betrayed principles of their great revolutionary predecessors, and, in September 1922, ignited the fire of war with German Democratic Republic! Situation became hard - Germany is still not recovered from Revolution, their army can hardly hold positions on Rein, while fleet has troubles with able officers (maybe, we should not execute so many of them?). So peaceful Soviet Union had no choice but back German Revolutionary State fully, and mobilise Red Banner Baltic Fleet again. Guess, who took command over Main Battleship Squadron? Commissar Kainov, of course! (Yes, he left his brand new battlecruiser, as "...the Party and Motherland need this!")
8 BB and 5 BC should fight against 10 BB and 9 BC (+5 Dunkerques with 4x12" - I can't count them as true BC). The only expected help from German Navy was oil and coal from their reserves. But Communists don't ask about the number of enemies, they ask, where are they!
...Kainov surprised his staff, choosing flagship. It appeared to be oldest dreadnought Spartak, though Soviet fleet has much better ships. He explained that: - As you know, enemy has much more ships, and they are more powerful, than ours. Battle experience showed me, that first ship in the line soon loose ability to fight properly, showered with enemy shells. We have limited number of modern capital ships, so they all MUST fight from safer positions. And risk of losing even both Spartak and her sister Marat is nothing for our fleet, as they are obsolete anyway. So they should be first in battleline! And it would be honest, if me, after proposing such plan, stay with one of them to share her fate. After our division will be beaten enough to stay in fire, Second Flagman on board of Rot Front will take command and lead battle to victorious end. And if we die, he will take revenge for us. Though I'll try to save ships and men, if it is needed, I'll happily spare my life to achieve new principal victory for the World Revolution!!! And hope, that everybody will do the same!
After such "inspiring" speech, more than half of his staff asked for other assignments, or suddenly became ill and unable to perform their duties... But some (mostly young enthusiastic commanders) stayed on board. "These ones are right Bolsheviks!" - reacted Kainov
Next January Red Banner Baltic Fleet was renamed Northern Fleet and rebased to Libknehtshafen (former Wilhelmshafen). 26.02.1923 all ships raised steam and sailed to the Dogger-Bank, where presence of enemy was expected. Next morning, just after sunrise, BC squadron, 40 miles away from main force, engaged three Dunkerques. After some minutes two of them stayed dead in water, but then four much better battlecruisers turned Soviet squadron away. Soon column of battleships appeared from North. Kainov recalled scouting forces and began to form battleline...
Soviet BB of Lenin-class, prepared to battle, in the morning 27.02.1923
French BC rushed in the middle of Soviet line, too busy with Scout Squadron to react in time. First thing they saw was blasts at horizon. Then shells hit their forward sides. Some of them closed to 10000 yds before understood, what happen, and Soviet battleships used their confusion fully. Two heavy shells from Spartak, for example, torn apart unprotected bow of BC Leon Gambetta, while other two disabled half of her artillery. Others got even more hits, but at this time French battleships appeared. As Kainov expected, Spartak got one hit after another, lost one of her turrets, but still keep her position, and even managed to harm a bit French flagship Gueydon. Soon enemy line was confused, and Soviet ships managed to find ideal firing position. Their excellent German-made directors and shell dyes allowed to hit targets from largest possible distance. Enemy in desperation sent battlecruisers to cover retreat, but Kainov turned to them and lead his battleline between them, firing from all guns. Six smoking metal piles stayed behind, while main enemy forces were still in sight. Of course, Soviet ships were damaged too. Marat lost her place in line and fought with heavy flooding, newest BB Teodor Nette lost forward turret, BC Frunze had only one turret repairable from three... But French fleet clearly ran away, leaving the damaged ships to their miserable fate! Spartak was slowed and couldn't overtake them. Kainov made decision: - It's time to let others reap the fruits of victory! Signal to Rot Front! "I'm leaving the line. Take command. Chase enemy!" - And we'll try to save our poor ship. She was terribly beaten! Really, ship got 15 14" and 15" shells, most of them penetrated her thin armour. Only coal bunkers saved Kainov's flagship from certain sinking. BB Spartak, returning home.
... Next morning Soviet Northern Fleet returned to it's forward base with empty magasines. All ships were here, including Spartak, only DD Letuchi sunk in battle. Kainov immediately sent message to Moscow, to Central Committee of Communistic Party: "Your orders fulfilled fully. Yesterday French imperialists had Atlantic Fleet; today they have not. Signed: Commissar-Flagman Kainov" Appendix 1 to Kainov's report.

After year of war and 3 battles, French fleet lost 7 BB, 9 BC, 5 semi-BC and dozens of smaller ships. In return they sank 3 Soviet destroyers. Pathetic. They remembered theories of Jeune Ecole - more than 100 submarines were laid. Against them Soviet Union began to build escort DDs, but they came too late.. At 13th month of war, Paris workers organised the Commune and took city in their strong hands. Again. Soon 3d Republic collapsed and was re-established as Communistic! Another European country choose the Right, Left Way, under Commandments of Marx and Engels!!! Also they liberate most of their African colonies, and their natives, freed from unbearable capitalistic labour, now work enthusiastically to build Socialism, from sunrise to sunset!
After that, only one continental country stay retarded in obscure - old rotten Austria-Hungary still was the prison of nations, ruled by narrow-minded sublime noble families and new, younger Kaiser. That was last power, which may backstab revolutionary states. It was intolerable and after first Austrian provocations Soviet State began preparation of adequate answer. Their warmongers expected, that sudden death of Great Leader Vladimir Ilich Lenin would demoralise workers and peasants, but they blundered! Mighty Red Army, supported with German brothers-in-arms, stroke them on land, while Red Banner Northern Fleet seek their ships at sea... And found nothing. Austrian fleet didn't want to act blind, and firstly tried to spot Soviet waters with reckon group. It included two modern heavy cruisers of Adria-class with 8x10" guns and some new CL & DD. They somehow managed to secretly pass through patrols and suddenly attacked small practice squadron in Northern Baltic. There Soviet sailors mastered machinery of the gift from French Revolution - BC Parizhskaya Kommuna. She has only small anti-submarine screen of destroyers, her 16" guns were of terrible system (-1 quality), her crew was still green, so Austrian admiral thought he had good chances to sink her. The only thing he didn't know was Commissar-Flagman Kainov, aboard her as instructor...
When Maros and Leitha with their support appeared on horizon, Soviet commander (just re-assigned from Pacific Fleet and still studying modern naval tactics) was confused. He still looked at them when Kainov appeared on the bridge: - Aha, enemies spotted! Real enemies, I mean, good exam to you. What are your intentions? - You always advice to act aggressively, so... rush to them at flank speed, ordering DDs torpedo attack. - If your crew was fully ready, maybe I'll support this. But you have to manage with their real abilities! Your sailors still can't operate with that French director well, so shooting in such situation would be waste of ammo. And enemies try to slow your ship down and move away, maybe scratched a bit. Or run till night and then launch their own sudden torpedo attack. Next try! - ... Emmm... Turn around and move under cover of coastal batteries - they have same speed, so we may shoot at them from safe distance, and maybe damage one enough to force scuttling or internment. - Good plan. If you want to lose battle, of course. Still too hard to find distance for novice gunners. And their gun range is enough to hit our ship with explosive shells... Water pillars not far from battlecruiser confirmed this opinion. Kainov continued: - And you should never forget strategic effects of your decisions! After your retreat (if we call a spade a spade), they'll rush to Finnish gulf, full of unprotected merchants. Wolves in the flock! Maybe, they'll even try to bombard some towns there. Our fleet may intercept them on their way back - anyway, they achieve propagandistic goal: in the first clash "mighty Red battlecruiser" run away from "glorious Austro-Hungarians"! I may imagine headlines of world's press, and what pictures will appear in their Die Muskete!.. Try to propose better action! Another Austrian broadside fall in the water - this time closer. Commander lost patience: - But it is not exam! It's real battle!!! - First of all, your goal in battle is keeping yourself cold-blooded, or you may order something stupid. I know, that you had no chance to practice this at Pacific, but it's time to begin!... Good, now to your next goal - hit enemy as hard as you can. When your rookies have best chances to hit target? - At constant distance, equal speed, good visibility, ideal target aspect... So, I should engage them in classical manner of linear battle? - Yes, for now it is the best decision. And if one of them lost speed... That may be right time for point blanc shooting!
Austrian gunners knew their work well - they achieved hits from 15 - 17 000 yards. Superstructures of Parizhskaya Kommuna were damaged, one shell hit her stern, fire appeared at deck, but enemy got more. BC salvoes stroke Maros several times, destroyed secondary guns, and finally hit conning tower. Austrian cruiser turn to the east and try to escape, escorted with one destroyer. Commander was happy: - We may finish one of them! Let's come closer! Kainov reacted: - Another questionable decision. Have you looked at map? What is east from us? - Saaremaa archipelago... - And may they pass between islands? - No. - So, they should turn either to North or to South after an hour. On the North is Finnish gulf with our main bases. With heavy damage, what course will they choose? We are now moving south, so may try to intercept them after destroying second ship. Better let them escape for now.
Leitha got first hit after five minutes. Her gunners tried their best, destroyers launched flotilla attack, but all was in vain. Two DD were shot by secondary calibre of Soviet battlecruiser, while heavy cruiser got dozen of shells, last of which made large hole at waterline. Ship heeled, and soon capsized... Kainov turned to commander: - Now you have two hours before sunset to find and finish another one!... By the way, how long will that sailors loiter before extinguish that small fire?!
Fire was extinguished after half an hour, as it was not as small as Kainov mentioned. Then Parizhskaya Kommuna turned to Irben Strait to search for another Austrian ship. But till duck nothing was spotted. Commander became nervous: - What if they fooled us? We are close to shore, we don't see them, and soon night will fall! But at that moment silhouette of Austrian destroyer appeared at port. Their observers failed and they never understood what happened. Battlecruiser fired full broadside, some monstrous 16" shells hit small ship, and she disappeared from the water in a second. But that shot threaten Maros, hiding in dark side of horizon and allowed her to fire first. Full broadside stroke battlecruiser in the middle, even 12" steel plates of main belt were perforated from 5 kilometres, one of secondary turrets were destroyed, fire appeared again at crumpled superstructures. But commander had no time to watch at this - he gave orders to artillery, helmsman, central post... Parizhskaya Kommuna just began to turn, when AP from second Austrian salvo penetrated forward turret. Reserve charges there detonated, roof was thrown away and flames rose higher than bridge... Commander and Commissar looked at it in silence, but soon fire disappeared - turret commander at last gasp ordered to flood magazine. Commander stared at Kainov: - We... survived?... Really? If so, I'll punish them! Move to point blank, keep them at A angle! All guns, fire at will!!! Kainov shivered: - This time monarchists were close enough to achieve victory!!! It was the most dangerous situation in all battles I took part! Though, all is well that ends well. Let's end them.
Maros couldn't survive long, third battlecruiser broadside disabled her last turret, and after ten minutes she hoisted white flag at ruins of forward superstructure. Heavy cruiser was completely destroyed and DDs may only rescue her crew and finish her with torpedoes (only 4 from 13 hit target, what a shame!)
Kainov shook kommander's hand: - As instructor, I may officially say, that you've just passed all exams successfully and are worthy to be promoted! Well done! Hope the country will hear many times about your future heroic deeds! This battle made commissar Kainov the main hero of new movie "Sailors", with his probable portrait on poster (IRL it is "film about future war" from 1939)Attachments:

Thanks!
After first battle, Austria-Hungary understood, that Soviet Navy is well-prepared to fight, so they changed strategy - fast cruisers began to raid sea routes all over the world. Soviet Union had no bases in the Mediterranean, so Red fleet should do the same. Some cruisers protect supply routes, while ten 2100 ton raiders began hunting in European seas. But it was hard For every Soviet raider KuK fleet had battlecruiser, some with speed above 30 knots. So cruisers spent more time and fuel running from patrols than chasing cargo merchants. The most lucky of them was Sofia Perovskaya - she survived six meetings with faster battlecruisers, but finally was cornered and sunk near cape Bon. Some others were damaged and interned. Other ships are assigned to intercept enemy attacks. And the only ship, able to catch enemies appeared to be CL Svoboda (her sister Volia unfortunately was mined at third month of war). Sovboda at Northern Atlantic. Every battle star means at least one Austrian cruiser sunk!
New light cruisers of Frunzenets class failed to reach speed and first of them was blown up by mine during trials. And soon, the War showed another, worse face. First submarine actions were more or less conventional. KuK Navy was surprisingly well-prepared to secret operations - without any known bases they managed to send submarines to the far side of the world. Famous BC III International was torpedoed and sunk by U-39 at sea near Vladivostok, and after some days U-35 managed to attack ships inside well-protected Manila bay! (Fortunately, her main target - BC Barrikada left harbour the day before, so she sunk only obsolete CL Pallada) Seem, that they were guided by Soviet traitors and saboteurs! OGPU began to search them and found many, especially between Comrade Stalin's opponents in Communistic Party. But attacks continued, and soon mad imperialistic warmongers became even more bloodthirsty - they declared unrestricted submarine warfare!!! Now any ship in European waters was in danger, and Soviet merchant fleet lose dozen of cargo vessels every month. All free destroyers were sent to ASW patrols, including new Konvoini-class ships, originally built against France. Routine work of Konvoini DDs - carpet bombing of suspected submarine position, while escorting hospital ship.
But loses still were high, and Soviet leaders made harsh decision... Despite all ideological and propagandistic reasons, Red Navy began its own unrestricted warfare! In the first months some of Soviet commanders were uncertain in recognising ships, so three beautiful Italian liners were torpedoed... Culprits was severely punished, but capitalistic press began campaign against "New, Worst Cruelty Of Communistic Barbarians!". Though they should cease soon, as "civilised" Austrians sunk British liner next month!... It was war of attrition, on both sea and land, where united armies of GDR and USSR were stopped by extensive Austrian mountain fortifications in Tatras, Carpathians, Sudets and Alps. Several attempts to storm this "Steel Line" were repelled with enormous loses. Gases, airships, planes, "armoured wagons", super-heavy artillery - all what only may be invented were used... without any notable results, except new cruel deeds and heavy loses. In the oceans destroyers chased submarines, while they torpedoed any cargo ship stupid enough to sail solely. Austrians even began to use suicide attacks - they sent old destroyers with fanatic crews to Baltic, in hope of torpedoing careless chasers - and two times they succeeded! But finally three years of stalemate made some effect - neutral observers reported about food scarce in Austria-Hungary. These news frightened Commissar-Flagman Kainov "much more, than even blowing of turret at Parizhskaya Kommuna". He wrote to Central Committee of The Party:
"Food situation in Austria-Hungary becomes worse every day, and may cause great famine, similar to most terrible catastrophes of the past. Our country will win the war that way, but for the World Communistic Revolution it would be greatest defeat. Workers and peasants will never forgive and forget starvation and death of their relatives, they'll turn away from Communistic ideas and easily fall to the hands of chauvinists, nationalists and fascists, deserving revenge. If this happen, any peace will be no more than temporal armistice, while full occupation will be too costly and ineffective. But I hope, that we still have chance to evade this, if we'll follow my plan: Small squadron of our newest battlecruisers with troop convoy, under my command, should break to Adriatic and perform surprise attack at Austrian secondary bases as close to Pola as possible. International Communistic Expeditionary Corps will liberate port (it should be easy, as most able enemy troops are at front now), establish there Soviet Power and immediately begin Revolutionary agitation as well as advance to Pola. Liberated territory should be supplied as good as we can, so most of our destroyers should escort food convoys there. Of course, enemy fleet will try to stop us, but I pledge, that our squadron will be able to defeat them, with same proportion of loses, as during French Campaign. If some of our ships will be damaged, they may be temporary replaced with older ones, and I give my Communistic word, that they'll survive internment! (I know one secret trick - very dirty, cheating trick, but this war is dirty anyway) This operation should be coordinated with new advance on Czechs Front (hopefully successful this time), and will be the last try to bring folks of rotten Habsburg empire to consciousness and show them, that our only enemies are their noble oppressors and warmongers. I know, that it sounds too risky, but remember, that I never let the Party down, and I promise to justify the trust of our people".
This letter caused several violent discussions among military and political leaders (with some hand-to-hand combats between most firm opponents), but finally most of them agreed, that "Comrade Kainov is well-known for his mad victories, and International Corps (formed from captives and volunteers) is not planned to be used at front for now, so action may be allowed - with one limitation: all Soviet battleships should stay as safe as possible". Special Squadron was formed from 3 Commissar-class 16" battlecruisers, dozen of destroyers, and some mobilised liners, rebuilt to landing ships. Many neutral cargo ships, loaded with grain, were chartered to move to North Africa in Soviet convoys (with secret orders in sealed packages). Special Squadron officially should move to the Far East to counter Austrian raids, but near Gibraltar it suddenly turned to Mediterranean sea. Kainov's calculations appeared to be right - Austrian submarines operated in another regions, and their intelligence lost Squadron's trail, or mistook them for neutrals (they didn't visit ports, resupplying at sea, and hoisted USA ensigns). After a month, battlecruisers reached Otranto Straight. Here reckon plane from Commissar suddenly spotted BC of unusual shape near Corfu. Seem that it was Austrian raider-hunter of Sankt-Georg class with all-forward guns. It was juicy prey and great threat to future communications of expeditionary corps, but attack at her should reveal Soviet presence... And Kainov found unusual decision. Next night BC Helgoland stayed on anchor at the roadstead of Corfu port with most of her crew resting. It was quite dangerous, but her captain decided that risk is acceptable. Here, near neutral land, ship may get some food from locals to raise mood of crewmen - last year their official rations were too small and bland, and Soviet submarines still never came to neutral port for hunting... So nobody was concerned, when unknown ship stopped near her starboard, and small vessel came close. Sailor from it cried about "valuable message to captain". Of course, watch officer declined to wake him first, but he should - the message was: - At your starboard is Soviet destroyer with twelve torpedo tubes, aimed at your ship! You have five minutes to surrender! Any try to move your guns, raise alarm or use radio means instant launch! Hoist white lantern on flagstaff and another on bridge if you agree! Seamen! Transmit our conditions to your comrades! Don't allow officers to kill you in vain!
It was forth year of hard and weird war, so ordinary sailors, suddenly awakened, had no will to die in unexpected battle. After some minutes of cries and fast-talk captain decided to surrender officially before crew torn him to pieces and surrendered voluntary. Prise crew with help of secret communists from Helgoland sailors imprisoned officers and moved battlecruiser to the open sea before sunrise. After examination of her rooms, Kainov found real treasure - codebook, plan of Pola's defensive minefields and routes of ASW patrols! (Fortunately, most Austrian merchants moved near Dalmatian coast, so near Italian shores there were chances to stay unspotted for a day) Interrogation of captives revealed, that garrison of Pola is small, poor-spirited and revolutionary-minded, while crewmen from most battleships were sent to marine battalions at land front. And plan was changed again...
In the morning Helgoland sent message about rudder failure, radio problems and asked permission to return to Pola. Permission was granted, and next night Special Squadron approached to it's harbour. Outer anti-submarine net was opened, when well-known BC showed usual identification signal. But at this moment some "frogmen" appeared from sea. Soviet secret underwater marine forces (officially named "First Red Banner Marine Zebra Cavalry Squadron") quickly convinced crew of patrol drifter and guardsmen at boom that inner net should be opened as well (conviction included demonstration of shining knifes to men and in some cases - cutting extra holes in them). Soon troopships appeared from darkness. At small speed they came to free piers, rammed them and put down forward apparels, first soldiers of International Communistic Corps disembarked before first alarm signals. Every detachment had guide from former sailors of sunk cruisers, who knew the military harbour well. Then battlecruisers with support of destroyers moved to their positions in the centre of harbour, aiming enemy ships at anchorage. After some hours of chaotic fighting with fire support from BC, Pola's garrison and ships surrendered. Many soldiers and sailors turned to the side of Revolution, increasing number of expeditionary forces. Kainov immediately sent message to food convoys: "Move strait to Pola as fast as possible" and began agitation broadcasts to all Austrian radio stations. International Communistic Corps marched through Pola, singing "Matrosen Von Kronstadt" and began advance to Triest and Fiume. Renamed Helgoland on Soviet service at Adriatic. Crew is still not changed, so A-H flag raised too.
After some days, good news came from land front - using enemy confusion and weakness (some divisions were immediately sent to Istria), Soviet-German armies, using well-trained stormtrooper divisions, finally managed to break through the Steel Line! These two strikes broke the will of Habsburg Empire and brought its nations the freedom, and the Light of True Marx Commandments. Kaiser Karl ran away, starving people got food and the world finally got peace! But after horrors of this war the world will never be the same...
(That was really the hardest war of this game due to my careless - I hoped that 10 raiders would be enough to kill Austria-Hungary, but their 31knot battlecruisers ruined the plan. IRL Special Squadron spent two months in Adriatic without battles, than army achieved great victory and A-H collapsed next turn without any demonstrations before)

War with Austria-Hungary ended in late 1928. Two years of peace after it allowed Soviet Europe to cure most painful injures and think about new forms of international organisation. And Soviet Union in this time built the most powerful ship in the world - super-dreadnought Leninski Komsomol. She was officially commissioned during the celebration of 25 anniversary of Great Russian Revolution 01.03.1930. After two months, at another celebration, 1 May, all Soviet ships for the first time hoisted new ensigns. United Red Banner Western Fleet took part in holiday at Leningrad, Kronshtadt, Helsinki and Tallin. Ships and planes showed their abilities in spectacular show, mighty guns fired peaceful salutes...
Leninski Komsomol at celebration of the First May
Of course, Senior Commissar-Flagman Kainov couldn't avoid participation in it. On board of new battleship he said a speech to young sailors:
- Today we celebrate the great day: for the whole quarter of century, workers of our country may enjoy their main holiday freely, without fear of persecution and punishment! First socialistic state grows more and more happy, flourishing and prosperous with every year, under reliable protection of our Red Army, and Red Navy, of course! We all passed great way, and now I can hardly believe my own memories about first years after Revolution... It was harsh times, when last survived monarchists tried to undermine our power, when young state of workers and peasants was surrounded by a vicious pack of aggressive capitalistic empires, ready to trample down the sprouts of Freedom. Today our country lay in peace between friendly socialistic neighbours, and their folks are thankful for their liberation! We brought them The Only Right Teaching of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin, we expelled their oppressors, we taught them to be true internationalists. Workers and peasants of Europe and America were fooled by kaisers, presidents and ministers to stay divided and obscured under their unjust and unfair rule; now they unite their efforts with ours to build The Worldwide Communism! Of course, there are some remains of the past: Kings and queens still rule the toy monarchies of Scandinavia, Belgium and Holland, Japanese militarists firmly clawed at Southern Korea and Taiwan, British lords still don't renounce their dream to rule the oceans... But they should understand, that world is changed! Dark days, when our fleet was closed in Baltic, Black and Okhotsk seas - passed forever! Now red banner flutters freely above deserts of Africa, jungles of Philippines, ices of Arctic, waves of the Atlantic and islands of the Pacific; it is well-known to all poor, oppressed, enslaved and dispossessed, who look at it as at their main hope! And our duty is to help them once they need it - recent naval peace-keeping operations at Mozambique and Northern Korea were great examples of such actions. Imperialists may close their borders with socialistic states - but communistic ideas undermine their power from within - last-year successful rising in the Ireland showed it clearly. Of course, Capitalism don't give up without resistance - new wars are very probable, so be ready! Imperialists yet killed many of our best comrades in Revolutionary wars: revolutionaries, hanged by czarist gendarmes; all sailors, died from shells at their posts in battles; BC III International, betrayed by hidden renegades; crews of mined destroyers and cruisers; ninety-six submarines, never returned from patrols; your brothers from merchant fleet, executed by underwater pirates. We should always remember them! But anyway, victory of Communism is inevitable, as our Party teaches us! When I began my service as commissar, Our Navy had still suffered from backwardness of old czarist Russia. Some of our sailors couldn't even write their name! We have lack of food, shells, machine parts, our best ships were built at foreign yards, and even them couldn't compare with potential opponents!.. My first ship was protected cruiser Venera with speed of only 23 knots - can you imagine this? Her crew was consisted from so-called "Jorjiks" - worst anarchistic hooligans, declared themselves as "true revolutionaries" but forgot about revolutionary discipline! And commanders were mostly former czarist officers, could't believe fully in Communism. Many work had been done before our ships and their crews became battle-ready, before we achieved first victories - and I am proud, that I made my part of this work as well as I could! Now I'm glad to see here the best songs of our Socialistic Motherland - dashing, smart, well trained and disciplined! Our workers and engineers gave you the best ship in the world to protect sea borders of our state, and now the country completely sure, that you will acquit our hopes fully! That's a misfortune, that I should leave Western Fleet in such time, but The Party deserves my service in another region. As you know, new Five-years Plan includes development of our polar regions. And to achieve this, new unprecedented route should be laid through the Northern Ice Ocean - Northern Sea Route! It has not only civil, but also great military value, as with it our Navy will move freely between two last strongholds of Capitalism - Western Europe and Far East - without any threat from subs or aviation! Battlecruiser Felix Dzerzhinski, which has ice-breaking ability and strengthened hull, should be the first ship, which will pass all the way from Murmansk to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski in one navigation, and our Great Leader, Dear Tovarisch Stalin, gave me the greatest honour to lead this try!!! I promise to use all my knowledge and experience to justify this extraordinary trust!!! I hope, that to the time of my return, our Navy will become even more strong and powerful, with implementing of newly-projected avia-mates, cruiser submarines, new types of planes! It would be the most interesting, and the most happy time in the world history! New chapter of Ruling The Waves is coming, and I'm sure, that your names will be written down in it with golden letters!!! But this is future, and for now - goodbye!!!...

Excellent rendering, but there are some errors in the arrangement of the flags. For example, the Komintern and Almaz, which are shown in navigation, must have the national ensign flying only at the gaff and not also at flagstaff at the stern, as in the figure. Yes, I noticed this in the middle of AAR, but decided to save some anarchy in flag's distribution, to show enthusiastic (also anarchistic and unprofessional) spirit of Revolutionary Navy. Though, I'm afraid, that their opponents catched a bit of this anarchy too
