I finally got around to assembling the .zip files(busy semester...) for everyone to download. I made these ships when NWS announced that their next game after SAI would be based around the Russo-Japanese War. While I enjoy all naval combat, motoring around in predreadnoughts and armored cruisers didn't seem as fun to me as playing with the fantasy designs of the post-WW1 period. So I began to update the roster of each major nation to include dreadnoughts, superdreadnoughts, and battle cruisers which never made it off of the ways or even the drawing board.
I focused heavily on the US and Japan, which had the most extensive postwar building programs, and for those countries designed every ship planned for launch through 1925(i.e. every capital ship designed before the Washington Naval Treaty). As for France, Italy, Austria-Hungary, and Germany, I designed only capital ships from the WW1 era, as none of these nations were seriously planning capital ships between the end of the war and the WNT. Britain was left mostly untouched because it had the largest roster of modern ships and its only legitimate postwar designs(the G3 battlecruiser and N3 superdreadnought) were horrifically ugly, had turret placements which are impossible to replicate on the ship design editor, and could not be fit into the WW1 window of the North Sea battle generator. The commissioning dates for all ships which were never commissioned historically are based on optimistic completion timetables(approximately 2-3 years from when construction began, depending on the nation) so as to get them into the game before it ends.
I also added a number of CLs and DDs to the US and Japanese fleets(and a couple turn of the century Japanese armored cruisers to make the predreadnought Pacific battles a little more interesting) to keep them up to date through 1925 and fill in a few holes left in the OOBs. These designs are all historical ships which were built and served in this period. All ships should be placed in the custom designs folder or the designs folder after being unzipped.
I edited the battle generators to reflect these ship changes(while also adding obsolescence dates), and the Adriatic, North Sea and Pacific .qbf files can just replace the ones currently in the scenarios folder. I did the same for the Adriatic, but also created an "Adriatic(Italy Switch).qbf" in which Italy honors its alliance with Austria-Hungary and will fight against the French fleet! I prefer these battles since the Austrian fleet is small and overmatched by the Entente even with its new superdreadnoughts(Note: you will only get to play the new French superdreadnoughts in the Adriatic(Italy Switch).qbf, since in the regular Adriatic the Italian fleet will take over duties before the new French ships enters service). This alternate Adriatic .qbf file will appear as "The Adriatic(Italy Switched) 1914-1918" in the game's Battle Generator tab. All .qbf files should be placed in the Scenarios folder after being unzipped. You can either choose to replace the old .qbf files or move them to an outside folder in case you think you might want to play them again.
Here is a list of the ships included in the zip file. Classes with a * were never officially named, and I named them based on that navy's practices or info I found in reliable online sources. Their drawing-board names are in parentheses after the name I gave them. Classes with a # after them were named but did not have official names for all members upon cancellation, again I named them to the best of my knowledge and research.
