I would really welcome the ability to have ship designs in STL files so we could print models of our designs. the current 2D top and side pictures could with a bit of work converted but it would be good to see this as an integral feature.
I like the idea of matching up designs in a head to head miniatures simulation e.g using Dreadnought rRsing rules.
This is a wonderful game and looking forward to version 2

IIRC I have seen software that can take a three-view line drawing and convert it into a STL file, but that would prob not work very well with the drawings in RTW I am afraid.

Can you give me the name of that software that converts 3 view drawings to STL, please? Thanks! ksbearski I believe you can do that in Solidworks (https://www.solidworks.com/), but I not sure if it requires any special add-on package or not. There are a couple of other software suites that can do that as well, I'll see if I can dig up the names of those.
