Always trade for Chili Mac and always get rid of the breakfast Veggie Omelet, also called the "Vomlet" I've heard that about the omelet, and you're right about the Chili Mac. I always look for the the Spaghetti. Some employees of the Wornick Company were in some Management classes I had to attend, they brought in some MREs they made for the Canadian Military. They were hands down, far and away, superior to US MREs. Canadian MREs are incredible. Having eaten several from the 3 meals.... whew lad... absolute heaven.

Back on USS Miller we had a cook that made the best gumbo I've had - in and out of the navy (30 years almost now).

Back on USS Miller we had a cook that made the best gumbo I've had - in and out of the navy (30 years almost now). Ah man, I love gumbo, my wife makes that once in a while. At Keesler AFB in Mississippi, we used to get some great gumbo off base. Man, it was good.

Yep Oldpop, in the fifties when I was a kid he was hospitalized several times with skin complains. by the way he did serve in the pacific, mostly New Guinea.
