A lot of damage control techs are design based so it depends on date of creating designs.

(russian navy designer, 1906) hmm, i think we need a powerful ship that can abide by the current treaty limitations (12000 tons and 8" guns) I KNOW. proceeds to make a light cruiser with 2 5" guns. (1909) hmm, the treaty is now over, we are no longer limited in either displacement or fire power, I KNOW HOW TO MAKE THE MOST USE OF THIS! proceeds to make a F****** light cruiser with 2 4 INCH GUNS. the japanese navy, having just begun construction of a trio of battlecruisers with 6 15" guns, laughs.

Tensions are high when the USA decides to host an international naval gathering and sailing race. Our well-trained crew is the favorite to win. There's no way the Americans would go to war over a regatta, right? youtu.be/tmjFx5481es?t=143This is also the game where the battlecruiser HMS Inflammable was lost to "fires burning out of control" in an earlier episode.

The French Günther-Prien-ed me! Is it really intended that mothballed ships can be sunk by sub attacks? Or is this a bug?

Russia invading Dalmatia with the nearest naval base being the baltics. Because naval invasion range doesnt care about minor issues like entire continents being in the way.

Running short of names for the Confederate States Navy destroyers I started using the names of the characters from Gone with the Wind. Having also chosen Rhett Butler's name as CinC Confederate States Navy, I wasn't too surprised when CSS Ashley Wilkes was sent on a near-suicide mission.

The British use "HACKS!". They're super effective. That paint scheme is an affront to man & God. It probably works as camouflage because pilots look down and their brains just refuse to acknowledge they've seen that.

But, your Majesty, be reasonable- ...we *do* still own Kamchatka.

...we *do* still own Kamchatka. As well as the Bismarck Archipelago and Bougainville. Regardless, I think someone's soon to be shown the door... or perhaps be advised to take the 'honorable' exit.

Is this an Easter egg? I am wondering if it was caused by the fact I was playing the WW1 mod beta.
