Hello. I'm a happy owner of RTW and just dLed the RTW2 demo and had a window size issue when Designing Ship Window was open. The window abruptly cuts off where it says Additional Armament and hitting the red arrow key for wide mode just does more of the same. How can I get RTW2 to resize the windows so I can see everything?
I'm using 1600x900 but resized my desktop to 1920x1080 and that didnt help. I then ran the demo in XP SP3 compatibility mode as admin and disabled display scaling but still didnt work. The design window is cut off. I cant see the right edge. What to do?
Thanks.
EDIT: I achieved a solution to my issue. Scaling zoom beyond 114% caused the Design Window of RTW2 to truncate the edge of the window and render it unusable and any text below 125% zoom was too small to see. So I tried using a few alternative 16:9 resolutions, 1536x864 and 1408x792 of which the latter, combined with 110% zoom made the text very pleasant to see from the tiny micro siZe it was. So all is well again! Thought I'd share in case anyone has lousy eyes like me.

Change your Windows "Scale and layout" for text to 100% scale, that usually corrects this sort of issue. (Right click on desktop, select the "Display Settings" item to get to this setting)

FIXED! Thank you! That did the trick and now I can see the full window.
HOWEVER, I hope you guys do something to make the windows scale-able so I can see the text better. It's so small and hard to read! I have a 55" monitor 7 feet away at 1600x900 and I need binoculars to see the tiny text at 100% scaling. It's awful, really.
ANYONE ELSE? Does anyone play a resolution or larger scale that makes this game readable for older folks? I'm 45 and can't see crap at this scale and resolution.

I play on 4K (3840x2160) - what seemed to work for me on Win10 was to set the 'Scale and Layout' to 150% (same I use for everything else) and then on the .exe itself, go to properties -> compatibility tab -> Change high DPI settings -> Tick 'Override High DPI Scaling behaviour' at the bottom and set the mode to 'System (Enhanced)'.
I don't know if this will work with other resolutions, but seems to work on 4K just fine.

Thats something like what I do on my own 4K work monitor, it does help when you have poor eyesight like I have

So unfortunately I am having the same (or a similar) issue to the OP. However turning text and scaling down to 100% or up to 150% does not solve the issue. This is especially unfortunate because it cuts off the extra tabs in the design screen which is kinda important. Had a similar issue in RTW1 where it cut off the very bottom couple mm of the design screen and also cut off a inch(ish) of the ship info panel in battles.
I really want to buy this game, but if it is unplayable with the demo then I probably won't risk it.
I am running at 1920 by 1080 (recommended) on a Windows 7 system on a 15.5 inch laptop screen.

Well, I guess I found a possible fix:
open the file 'preferences' in your RTW2 DEMO folder with Notepad (or equivalent) and search for the line:
'WideDesignScreen=0'
change the 0 to 1 and that should solve the issue.
