While you're waiting for the game to launch, feel free to check out what a massive combined Japanese surface and carrier fleet does to a fleet of Russian ships (I won't spoil it). Clicking this link will take you to the start of my war (as Japan) with Russia in 1931. And as we all know, Japan opens with a surprise attack... Watch here
url: youtu.be/yYEQH0zoUAI?t=5427Should be 1:30:27 in the video. (I feel like this is a great teaser of gameplay in RtW2.)

My issue is that in the Demo, I am put in to surprise attack scenarios with planes that can barely reach the target in the 200 time units allotted and DDs with the carrier group that certainly cannot.
Maybe a pop-up option that asks if the surprise attack will be short or long range, like in fleet exercises?

Reading the manual, there seems to be a feature that planes skip readying stage and launch immediately if you order strikes on first turn of surprise attack. Just in case you didn't read it yet.

The surprise battles before 1925 are assumed to be Port Arthur style, with destroyers. I realize this may be unexpected when you have some CVL.

I just happened to have CVLs in the sea zone, I'd much rather have gone in with DDs given the chance. Problem being, the DDs started with the carriers and couldn't make it in the 200 time units. I tried to peel off the DDs but as soon as they were out of flagship range they circled back.

Were you able to solve this issue? I tested this for two different browsers on two different computers, and I didn't have any issues (the sound was the same as other YT videos). Best, Tortuga

What combination of button+click are you using to set a direction for your ships to turn in, without automatically advancing the game by another tick???
